Wow! The quality of this "How Much You Gettin' for an Elbow?" thread sure took a dive. I've been reduced to posting a cow shit story and monkey fart music, for cripes sake! Who was it that train wrecked this thread anyways?

psst~ bet it was bluenote.
(just kiddin' my brother) ;-) ;-)

Uh uh , no ya don't , I am not *about* to let anyone who still knows who Solzhenitsyn is much less quotes him run outa of a conversation.

Think of the permutations and effects of those three remarkarble years and him being bracketed by Beckett and Neruda , the only other run that comes close was the equally remarkable Elliot-Faulkner-Russell run from '48-'50.

Hmmmm spacey cookies.............something to read John Lilly by? Or Burroughs if you're in a twisted mood. Kerouac invokes too much nostalgia nowadays for me , too bittersweet.

not sure regarding either question
i do have to ask though
why are folks selling to dispensaries in the first place?
who was buying the product before there were dispensaries and why are they not buying it from you now?

seems dispensaries are only here to take the coin out of the process

Probably because 75% of growers didn't start growing till they heard from all their friends they could grow and sell to dispensaries.. Oh just do it Bill, you will make THOUSANDS, I swear the clubs will by it. It's easy and they pay a lot of money.. Yeah. Right.

I think the media had alot to do with so many people starting to grow thinking they would get rich. Truth hurts! Not many of them new growers making out very well from what I can see. And from the ones I`ve talked to they had no idea it was so much work ! I also saw less planted last Spring and even more get mold that Fall. I dought we will see many of them growing again come next Spring. I`m hoping the next season`s crop will be more quality than quanity. My grows will mostly be for my own use and seed crops. I only intend to sell off what it takes to cover some of the cost. Don`t know if any will find it`s way to a despencery or not.

The way you've presented this is misleading. Huge Corps like Walgreens have well established TRADE CREDIT within the industry, and everyone is insured for loss. This is why vendors are willing to do this with them. There is no way to establish trade credit or get loss insurance within the pseudo legal mmj industry. So you're comparing apples to oranges.

Just say NO to MMJ consignment. The end.

No, net term is applied to small businesses as well. Ask your local hydro shop and their net terms with Sunlight supply.

For larger net balances, in the 6 figures, wholesalers may file a lien with the state against the retailers assets.

The "ones you work with"? Or should that be the " one you work for"?

Didn't quote the whole thing because it would take up too much space.

You're entitled to your reality as I am entitled to mine. I do have good working relationships with the dispensaries I work with. I have been screwed over, both by dispensaries and by street thugs.

But if "we" ever want to make MMJ a legitimate business that has real purpose and can be located at the local street corner instead of being sold by criminals, we have to act like other industries. Net term (consignment), good working relationships between wholesalers (growers) and retailers (dispensaries), and the ability to have recourse for both sides if one decides to steal, is the new reality.

Lastly, with all the hatred/anger directed at the dispensaries, some growers need to look at their own actions. Spraying pesticides before harvest? Uses of PGRs? Powdery mildew and mold?

Man , really ya want to do me a favor? I mean I'd really like to discuss this with you on an equitable and rational level , however if you can't dispense with the quasi-new age faux semi-religious hyperbole and obfuscation such as " your reality" along with hyperbolic extrapolations of emotion rendered from the thin evidence of phosphor on a screen then just declare yourself the "winner" now and leave me out of the whole thing.

And yeah I find strawmen and apples to oranges arguements annoying , along with of course logical fallacies. All of which you've put forth within the above , along with of course escalating your rather accusatory overtones.

So far you've merely attempted to play " spin and redirect" while coming across as rather smug , perhaps that's not your intent , if it is then please advise me of said intent and I shall leave the thread to you.

Guess what? If you've EVER grown, smoked OR sold cannabis, YOU'RE a criminal too.

And if you want to see the nastiest, moldiest, infested, blown out, toxic weed ever, then go to CO and get some $150/oz dispensary warehouse medicine. Grown with all the love and expertise you can expect from a highly regulated government monopoly. None.

Seriously, what dispensary do you work for/own?

Its in Cali too, and probably on it's way to a MI dispensary near you...

I always get disgusted when I see shops using this as an advertising tool like it's a good thing, low prices! When the reality is you're selling trash to people who either don't know better or are too poor to do anything about it...

Why do you say that? Life isn't always rainbows and butterflies. This thread is about the wholesale pricing at dispensaries. You should expect it to get a bit dirty because that's how us farmers are being treated right now. Dirty.

Internet forum threads are just like television. You can change the channel if you don't like what you see. Or check back later, the shows are always changing.

Well hell if your going to get excited and have your nose put in the corner, football is about as good as any reason I gess,LOL!

What I`d like to ask is what price are growers expecting for high grade, really what is a fair price? Also what is the going price on the streets. Seems to me it depends on where you are selling and maybe that would also apply to the clubs. Can`t expect them to pay above street prices in there lo cal can you? An other consern is the price they charge customers for medications. If they are paying less to the grower shouldn`t they pass on the savings to customers? I wouldn`t mind getting a little less for my product if I knew the end customer was getting a more afordable price. That`s how supply and demand works in a flooded market. You just stick in there and prices change. Regular farmers don`t always come out ahead every year ether. They may get a good price but low yield one year or a low price and a bumper crop or sometimes they luck out and get both a great price and a good yield. I`ve been told most food farmers make a killing about once every seven years, the rest of the time they are just about even if lucky.
