Nah. There are plenty of catspiss phenos of ssh, but I do not believe the true clone only to be ssh. More a pure ghan I believe. It's not pissy haze. It's pissy meaty. Well the bit I got sent ages ago.

I've had so many different catpiss phenos I've lost count passed them around to everyone. I've always thought of it to be the more northern lights leaning phenos. The most popular catpiss pheno around my parts isn't really catpissy at all to me just very meaty like herb said. They can all be kinda prone to p.m. I've not had that prob but that's a common complaint about it. It'll yeild an ARM and a leg though, I've pulled 4-5lbs from 2k worth of lights multiple times. And over a lb na half from one 15 gallon hempy and a 600 in Dr120.
It's seriously good smoke if ya let it go 90+ days, some of the most memorable smoke I've ever had came from a catpiss I left to almost 4 months due to just not being able to take it down cause of a broke leg. It might be the ssh that's the story but I really couldn't tell ya.....

I got a wicked cat piss smelling herb from the bay that was labeled white widow and was going around in the early part of 00. It was by no means a white widow, but when I dried like 1/4 lb. plant, my neighbors were complaining to the landlord that we must have a cat because of the piss smell throughout the apt. We obviously started calling the strain cat piss. Back then clubs would take a tray of clones and label them various strains, so if somebody in the area ended up with the same thing under a different name I would not be surprised.

Hmm.. back in 2004 or so i met a guy online who was passing around a cat piss cut out of the PNW .. we met online and traded i had seeds from the island of molokai that i was told was the orginal cat piss strain... labled piss catt.. it was very amonia tasting and kinda felt like you was eating tin foil when smoking.. the pics i see here look like the cut i was gifted back 2004... sometimes i wish i kept cat piss and other times i dont miss it.. but it for was one of the most stoney plants i ever smoked for sure... long live the cat piss..

San diego catpiss. Yields like crazy and is good smoke. Would always loose some to bud rot though. Just super prone to it. Very meaty. I can def see it being ssh or a cross. The SSH cross I had next to it had almost the same structure but the smell was waay different.

Oh yea duh how could I have forgotten the bud rot.......you WILL get bud rot with it......I'm not sure I've ever grown it without at least a little bud rot.......its why I gave up on it.
I won't even take catpiss (air qoutees) cuts.....




Now drahow's chocolate piss was the SHIT.....I'd take a kick to the mass for that one again.....really any of,his og chocolate Thai goodies I've got a couple seeds left but I'm striking out on germ rates I think they got baked sitting in my storage last couple summers.....

i smoked a catpiss that came from norcal years ago that is still in my top smokes, reaked like kitty litter and candy haha straight cat piss, it reaked!! ive been trying to hunt it down and so far ive gotten a san diego cat piss and a pure kush x cat piss in clone and some cat piss seeds from norcal and have yet to flower any of them out, im hoping the seeds are the real thing cuz i dont think the san diego version is what im looking for.

so imo the one to get is the norcal clone if you can.

Here's the thing bout the "catpiss" its not a unique smell to have....much like babyshit isn't unique or skunky isn't unique,.....the story is its a ssh, it grows like ssh looks like it but who knows.......basically anything that smelled bad might be called catpiss.....ill say this though NONE of the "catpiss" clones really smell like catpiss its more of a name not a description. The most widely passed catpiss cut is a super greasy meaty sativa type plant with a kind of narcotic stone.....it dosnt actually smell like catpiss or litter box none of that. Just wanted to clarify.

I believe that there are a couple of different cuts of catpiss going around in the PNW. The one that most PNW growers have right now is known as "Pittsburg Catpiss" which is believed to be the same as the Tahoe Catpiss and the Nor Cal Catpiss. The Pittsburg Catpiss also has a lot more indica in it than the other Catpiss cut (Pittsburg Catpiss is a slow vegger, and grows like bubba). The other cut going around (probably the San Diego Catpiss??) is mostly sativa.

In early 2009 I received some cuttings of Pittsburg Catpiss that my friend had stored in his fridge for me. When I brought the cuts home and opened the ziplock baggie, the smell almost made me puke. Even as cuttings (moistened in a sealed bag) they stunk like fresh catpiss. Anyway, that was before that I knew how rare the Catpiss was and I ended up giving the cuts away after they rooted because I just couldn't handle the smell. There was also a pretty good strain that used to go around (like 10 years ago) called "Cat Shit". I never knew the genetics for it but now that I have a bit more knowledge about some of the local clone only strains... I wouldn't doubt it if it was a cross of Dogshit x Catpiss.

This one was finished in 70 days and has 10% amber. But the grower felt that it could've gone a bit longer (for more amber).

Pretty much correct. YMMV on this , I hold the NorCal cut that has been refered to previously here as the " PittsBurg Cut" , allegedly the original SoCal cut came north , the original cut has frequently been described as Haze-Like with Affie overtones , which would account for the other descriptions of it resembling NL.............*allegedly* when it came to the North Bay it was crossed over a heavy Indica , which of course would account for the structure illustrated in the photo of the Pittsburg cut . now exactly *which* Indica is anybodies guess.

My cut grows out much like a Bubba and is generally speaking best around the 70-75 day mark , I hear that the San Diego cut goes quite a bit longer but have no input on that in specific since I've never laid eyes on the San Diego cut.

And " garlicky" is a good descriptive , sort of like an even more pungent early AK47 with some sort of not quite rotting flesh undertones , unique smell and some folks just find it a bit distasteful. In effect it's not daytime smoke , nor to be smoked when you really have anything that has to get done.

I may well cull the strain due to the odor , which quite frankly is more pleasant to discuss than to be around.
