Thanks for the thoughtful reply. I think part of the AlienDawg's slow veg was due to me over watering. Once I realized it, I didn't water for a week and the plants didn't blink. They still seem to grow pretty slow, and almost no stretch. While all the other plants responded vertically to their FIM jobs, the AD responded horizontally, and slowly. It seems to be attaining a little vigor in the stretch. :)

If the 'Durban' means anything for the Pie you have, keep an eye on it. Yummy stuff.

yup some overwater can slow things down aswell as turn things yellow, maybe we should keep an eye on one-anothers ALIENS?....

I've never tried but have always been intriqued by this strain, what does the Banana Kush taste/smoke like? I've heard some mixed reviews, but most have been pretty good! As you continue to work the line J, what is your end goal with her? Taste, potency, yield, etc.......

i still cant say my friend this is the second time ive grown her and this time like last time she is FULLY SEEDED and i again will not get a shot at tasting her, heavily seed bud just cant compare to SENSI bud so i dont really want to try and speak on that untill i can toke some nicely grown cured buds.....

not sure how much more i will work with this one, my main goal when i started this project was just to get some much needed seeds out to the ppl because most everybody was having a problem getting them.....i fill i failed in my last attempt to do that do to my lack of knowledge of the plant and i ended up with a really huge main cola that got BUD ROT/MOLD and i did not want to pass the seeds out very far not knowing what they would do after germanation...i got about 80 HUGE pale odd shaped seeds and i planted a few of the those and thats what im working with now, this grow seems to be going better so i hope i get a good amount of useable seeds......if so not sure if i'll do ANYTHING else with this strain same gos for the DPD, however i do have POLLEN left from this last male harvest so there WILL be atleast one more round of HYBRIDS of both strains..

ya i have a very small batch of "BODY BLOW" being made as we speak and hope to make a much larger batch in the next round, also hoping to get a decent amout of the "HEADSHOT" made in the next round aswell...ive been ask why im making HYBRIDS with the GSC & CP but not putting the NAME in the new NAME ahh main answer is i just dont want to but that dont mean i wont have this or that with either known name in the new names just not with these two.....

let me just say that i think the "DERAILED" & "SOYLENT GREEN" should be something kick-ass and there both BREED with the STARFIGHTER!!.

the depth of the two litters were not the reason i started useing them but ya its a plus, i first started useing them because i did not have the coin to buy the amount of pots i needed for what i wanted to do...my Gfriend makes her own WINE COOLERS so there was always a larger ## of two litter bottles going out to the trash so i just thought what the hell i think those will work and they did and ive been useing them for many years now....and when you see the ones that have been taped up some of those are 5 years old and still working as good as ever, if you ever dicide to try some for your self never use the ones with the HOUR GLASS shape there a bitch to get out if your planing to TP into a bigget container.....also when your not useing them store them to where there not being PUSHED OUT OF SHAPE once the bottles loss there shape again there very hard to get the ROOT-BALL MASS out when the time comes to TP, if your going to leave them in there the intire time then i guess the SHAPE has no baring on the matter...

I agree Jaws kills it and I am also a budget grower peeps need to realize it doesnt take a bunch of additives to grow fire buds... Keep it simple and they will do their thing!

Got a question jaws ive pollenated a few branches and got a pic of a seeded bud on the pre 98 bubba how do you know if the seeds are done?? This is my first time trying to make my own seeds so im just trying to make sure not to pull em too early... I pollinated @ about 15 days in and see seeds growing just dont know if I should let those plants go longer or pull in the normal 8-9 week window!

your seeds will be fine no need to let your bud over ripen in order to get your seeds MATURE, the bubbas what 60-65 dayer depending on how you like your bubba that would leave you with a 45-50 day MATURE time and thats PLENTY of time....

i would suggest you never start harvsting youe seeds while your still growing your buds, your seeds UNLIKE your BUDS will never OVER-RIPPEN on ya.....your fine on timing so just grow your bubbas as you would noramly do, at some point some seeds may drop off so when you get to around 50-55 days and you see a seed here and there kinda like i just showed on my plant kinda off by its self and its nice and round and BROWN/DARK/SPOTTED/STRIPPED you can go ahead and pull those before the fall into your soil below....

watch your seed HUSK once they really get going those HUSK/COVERS will start splitting and you will see the seed its self like your showing in you pic above, if ya want mark that branch/bud and every day while your in there checking on your crop take a minute to look at that area and watch your seed MATURE as you grow the buds out and maybe take a PHOTO A WEEK so next round you can go back to your pics and see how things develope....its a learning thing really...

i just hope i got the right name for the right HYBRID im thinking the GSC will be more of a BODY type high and the PIE a more HEADY high and seeing the FATHER is the same he should bring the same thing to both strains...

ive wonderd do you put drain holes in the 2liters and how many of those could i put in a 4x4 tent with an adjusta wing doing straight colas no topping ? I could get dialed in and grab another pack of beans insted of dropping a bill on super root pots pots .

ahh a grower after my own heart HAHAH ya man you can fit 100 bottles, and if ya can push a 1/2oz per thats 50oz in a 4x4 so hell ya.....YES SIR holes are a must just like pretty much any other pots except for those self triming roots type pots...

if you were to try that id strongly suggest you buy yourself one of those 4X4 flood-drain tables for easy removel of the DRAIN-WATER, i myself do it by hand like 4 bottles per 5gallon bucket...ive been wanting to get one of those tables but just cant afford one right now but one would save my back like big time...

im very protective of my NAMES but i'll shoot you a couple to think about in a PM.....with that COMBO of names id say you need to go for an ORIGINAL name and not one where your trying to SMASH the parents together, maybe if the Chemdog #4 * sun sour 6 had a name it Could work.....

Im gearing up for it as we speak Jaws . 50 zips ???? Now thats what im looking for . just want to keep it simple like your thread has taught me to do . This is my first tent dh said it comes with a floor tray . Not the same as a flood table i take it ? Those things are like a hundred bucks right ? lets see 4 2 liters per 5 gallon bucket thats 25 buckets from homedepot @2.50 a pop ........hmm ok for an extra 40 i can make it real easy on my self and my back . thats why i dont use 15 gallon pots anymore takes me a week to recover from moving one of those . Takes forever with a turkey baster . Now i understand why you use the bamboo in the 2 liter cant use a trellis when you have to pull them out . Do you think i can get away with a 6in inline or should i invest in the 8 ?

the whole thing with the FLOOD TABLE is you wont have to be pulling anything out to water/feed, i think the TABLES are groved at the bottom so i was thinking with i get i can put SEALED valve in the front center with a small hose attatched on the underside and thats where id put a five gallon bucket for the drainage and id also elavate the back side slightly so id get a water flow coming forward where i have my drain hole...

i have 12 5gallon buckets i have ten for draining my bottles and two for my WATER/FEEDING liquids as well as ten heavy duty COOKIE RACKS those i place ontop of the buckets to hold the bottles while they drian...i think what your thinking about is a removable BOTTOM INSERT type deal what it does is allows you to take it out and clean/wash it, i have not found any other use for it personaly...

if you try this it will most likly be a dayly PROJECT as far as LIQUIDS are concerned and plant in a bottle like were talking about will need to be watered every day, as you move into flowering you will still need to water every day but at a more heavyer watering/feeding....i use 160z cups for watering/feeding right now and im in a 4x4 under a single 400MH and once i move into the 5x5 under a single 1000 i'll bump up to 24-32ozper day....

your 6IN will be fine thats what i use and mine works double time i have 2scrubbers 1 in each TENT and ontop of the huts i have a piece of LIGHT plyboard that i have my FAN MOUNTED on and the where the fan draws in the air i have a splitter/Y connector so i have 6inch insulted hoses coming from both tents and into one 6inch fan and the oppsite side of the fan i have a muffler to keep it somewhat quiet....

also you might want to hold off on this untill your next round reason being if your going to do this it would be to your BENEFIT to use clones out the gate, working with seeds you would need to pop far more then 100 seeds to insure you get 100 females.......i think this would be a good way to go for some one who was set up right from the get go and who does not have a ton of room...

lastly for now you need to think really hard about what strain you want to run with id say a more heavy INDY over SAT for sure you dont want 6foot GENETIC plants trying to be grow in a two litter bottle, look for something of SHORT INDI GENETICS....

have you looked at the BANANA KUSH plants i have in flower and in two litter bottles those are perfect, there the right size and they have the PROFILE that fit this style of growing....

not this grow but in my next grow you might want to pay attention to how things go because im going to be runing many PLANTS all the way through in two litter bottles, and were talking 6weeks of vegg and 8weeks of flower in a two litter...

that blackberry kush might be the ticket not sure about the others, but hey you work with what ya got my friend its all a learning thing right now so if 30 is all you have then run the thirty and get a fill for it and take notes and if you see a problem in this run then you will be able to fix it before you go all out with the 100.....i have not seen full pics of the WHITE SKUNK but the bud shots ive seen i'd run some of those if i had them so shit drop and flop those puppies dude....

ohh i think i have the WIFI going now and id so no on those for that set up there some real stretcher from what ive seen so far..

This issue with males in the fem packs seems to be on the rise. Not sure what that is all about? I have yet to try any of these so can't really say from exp, but that seems to be the scuttlebutt, I love that word, around the interwebs these days. That being said, I am a bit concerned. Are we somehow ruining true male/female breeding in the process? Maybe I am being paranoid.
What is your take on this? Do/Have you made fem seeds? I kinda feel plants that express intersex traits easily should NOT be used for reversing and pollen collection. Just my 2 cents

seems to be showing up alot for-sure im not going to try and throw any knowledge down about the FEMS as im yet to even try to make them but i do have in-hand what i need to get the job done..

my only thoughts is that alot of ppl are simply choseing the wrong strain{s} to do the reversing on, ppl are trying to make FEM of everything strain out there thats in CLONE form only which i think is ok but not all strains are going to play nic when it comes to fucking with there GENETIC make up......

i think finding a really good PHENO from a pack of REG seeds would be the best bet for trying to REVERSE and make FEM seeds so there stable enough to grow out with some piece of mind...REVERSING a FEM plant dont seem to make a whole lot of sence to me but alot ppl are doing/ well trying it anyways...
