Those sasquatch dick's you call Lemon Alien Dogs look insane, I would image several of those would definitely color up. Can't wait to see the next batch you have in the works, good luck with the trim!

Thanks Kush, I was worried about this run because I had taken a few months off and was trying new strains and new nutrients, but it all went really well and I am stoked about it! I am glad that people are interested in the information because I am happy to share it!

KILLERCHEF
Haha, I had both my roommates and a close friend helping me out the last couple days and we busted through a little over half of everything. The other half will come down next week since it is not quite ready yet. I have a couple pictures from during trimming that I will put in at the bottom of this post! Glad you were able to be here for the whole show KillerChef!

Awesome grow Meeks was my pleasure to watch and interact with you bro, i appreciate all the informative detailed responses you gave me . I learn alot from your thread and that was awrsome... best of luck on future grows and you can bet ill be drooling and asking question on each of them. Actually what is the general amount of time after you flush that the nitro starts to leave the leafs and yellow them up, I flushed three days ago .....respect soser
Thanks Soser, I had a great time sharing all the info you prompted me to share so thanks for being so enthusiastic and interested! The future grow is coming up fast, I have 11 perfect looking seedlings, 1 that is catching back up after a rough start, and 1 that has taken a turn for the worse over the last couple days and I have no idea what the cause is. I will toss a picture in at the bottom of the post for you to see the happy ones!

I usually water every day, so when I am flushing I am watering at least once a day, more often twice if I have the time in the morning and night. I water until more like 25-35% runoff instead of the usual 10% and try to never let the media dry out once I start flushing. I usually start seeing rapid change within a day or two of flushing with pure RO, but I work my way down to that over the week before hand.

Those sasquatch dick's you call Lemon Alien Dogs look insane, I would image several of those would definitely color up. Can't wait to see the next batch you have in the works, good luck with the trim!

GR33N
Yeah you called it Gr33n, the two largest plants that I have standing still (chop next week) are getting some nice color coming in that wasn't there a couple days ago during picture time! And the White Urkle plants are the same story! The next round is going to be awesome! Thanks for staying tuned!

Very very nice looking frost covered "lad"ies lol. Nice work for real you are doing them girls nicely.
Haha, LADies, clever! Thanks boss, I am super proud of this round for sure!

Here are some nice photos taken of a pretty LADy before and after the chop/trim!

ok Meeks in my continued quest to acquire the knowledge of your style bro.... I was ready drying and curing threads yesterday and I usually just go right at it ... trim them up big leaves and then little leaves and then manicure and hang to dry in a closet around 70 degee's with 50% R/H... but was reading dj shorts style posted by long lost Tex and appears that is what you are doing with the far right bud , leave the large leaf's on till crispy as they protect the bud during the drying phase after they become crispy take off and manicure the little sugar leaves rehang if still a little damp or put in brown shopping bag folded at top slightly and wait a day or two.....Is this what you are attempting with the last bud or just didn't get to trimming it at picture time . As always love your work meeks....be well my friend , i'll be peeping ....oh won last thing how many seeds did you wind up with do to the nanners....

Congrats on the harvest Meeks!
Thanks Lady Goods, half way done and about to start the second half tomorrow! I like to smoke buds and BHO, so I trim off every leaf I can for processing. I love the way your dry bud photos came out! I hope I can get some that great!

Always great questions Soser! First off, I took that photo during the trimming process, so the untrimmed cola was untrimmed because I hadn't gotten to it yet, not because I was going to dry it like that. I do a combination of what DJ Short recommend, and what I have learned from experience over the last few years of growing. He likes to leave the fan leaves on to encase the cola and let it dry slower, but I have found that if there is even a single mold spore present in your garden, following this technique will give that mold enough time to spread throughout your whole crop! In very dry climates, I would still recommend following his advice, because your buds will be crispy dry too fast if you don't, but because I have a higher humidity range here by the coast, I like to trim all the leaves off right away to decrease the chance of mold spreading and increase the speed which my buds dry in the first stage.

After the buds are starting to feel a little drier, as DJ Short recommends, I cut the buds off the stems into unbleached paper bags and leave them there until they feel dry to the touch. After a few days to a couple weeks I take the buds out of the bags and store them in glass jars for curing. Burping the jars daily or more for the first week or two.

My drying process from cutting the plant down to having fully cured product can take as long as 2 months or as little as 3 weeks, depending on the humidity of the season and how long I leave the buds to dry in each respective stage.

On the note of the seeds, I have been able to pull a couple dozen seeds out of each cola just with a quick look over during drying, I am sure there is at least twice that much per cola, and I have over 100 colas so I guess I have a few thousand beans. . . Right now I have only removed the beans from a couple colas, and I have a cup with around 50 seeds.

Thanks so much KC, I really encourage you to follow through with your suggestion of starting classes at U of A! They have an amazing program there, and I am actually lucky enough to have their lead Horticulture professor teaching my greenhouse vegetable class for the rest of this quarter because of my other normal professor falling ill! The next grow will start getting a lot more attention once this grow is totally cut down, I think I will continue to do updates for the new plants here in this thread.

Glad to hear you are on the LAD train! They are seriously impressive plants! I am curious why you plan on switching from a hydroponic media (coco) to a soil based media like roots? The ideal pH for these two different medias are radically different and I think you might find it harder to keep your plants happy if they are in a poorly balanced mix of these two different medias. I am intrigued and would love to hear how that goes once you give it a try.

As always, excellent work! Killin that shit.
Thank you Green Punk, the last of it should come down over the next couple days, then very soon the buds will be dry enough to start smoking some samples before the full cure :D

Loving the structure on those buds! They are looking scrumptios!!! Looks like it's going to be a good Thanksgiving. I know I will be Alien Rock Candy'd out during turkey time lol. Great show.Peace!
The structure is so cool on a couple of these plants! Some are straight up OG golf balls and others are more haze-like in structure. . . and of course the Alien Grenades has a touch of the Sour D structure in the plant that has yet to come down, I am super pumped for that one! I think I will be having Thanksgiving away from my family this year (usually go to Seattle), so I will still be in Cali with access to these freshly dried meds for Turkey Day!!

:) :) Finally i'm not so high i can actually leave a post :p

Hahaha, too high to leave a post is how I feel almost every night! By the time I am done watering and taking care of school related stuff, I hardly have energy to do any more than pack more bowls! I hope to get some great dry bud shots this time around, I know I never posted any for the last two grows so I need to stop slacking once I have jars of dank to photograph! Thanks for all the kind words FM!

I was thinking of following the organic schedule alien put up. But I'm all ears. If you think ffof is better then that's what I'll do. I was told doing organic with soiless (pro mix) is defeating the purpose?

I wouldn't recommend using ffof with coco either, I would stay away from starting with coco and then transplanting into a soil based media. If you want to copy the way someone grows, it will help you if you don't try to mix and match advice from multiple growers that conflict in style so drastically the way Alien and I do, being that he grows in organic nutrient soil beds, and I grow in hydroponic coco pots with synthetic nutrients. . .

And now, Indoor Gardening Tips from a man who's very scared of plants!

Most people don't put googly eyes on their girls, I do.
IMG 5989

I got the idea off my cactuses, because I like to feel comfortable around all my plants.

IMG 6019

OOOOH!! I don't feel comfortable around this plant what so ever!!

IMG 6025

Woooahh! what a relief! You see, I've made eye contact, I know where I stand with this plant, what a load off!

IMG 6029
IMG 6021

I dont know if i've been clear about this, but the whole concept of eye contact, hugely important with plants!

Cool idea meeks and i lied got another question bro.... hope you don't mind but i get a feeling you don't , but i flushed my arc in a 5 gal bucket on day 47 with 6 gals of water and clearex and then again on day 54 with 10 gals of water two of them with clearex and i'm on day 58 and my temp swings have been 10-15 degree's at night , and none of my leaves are using up all the nitro and turning yellow yet, now i did plant these with a super soil blend , that i made but what's your thoughts bro.... answer when your rested bro, no rush , killer pictures as always ......regards SoSer..........ps its day 58 starting and looking like at least 63 days alot of cloudy tric's but no amber yet or fade and i'm going to be patient with this one as i have smoke now.....,
