Dang I mean Shrooms

no problem right? o_O

Shooms

Yeah I know...they dont look edible to me either..

should I just leave em??
they wont hurt the plant?

While I dont know for sure if they will hurt anything I know they make stuff to kill the shrooms so there maybe a reason you dont want them. I would check on line just to b safe your stuff always looks so good hate to see a little thing like this mess ya up. I had shrooms once in my plants and they came out awful that round not sure if they where the cause cuz did have some other issues going on but that was only time I had them and about the only time my crop was just terrible

they will breakdown your organic matter in the soil.looks like plenty of perlite/vermiculite so no worries on the gas exchange. do you have wood chips in that mix?they will help with water distribution throughout the soil. if you get another flush try to photo the gills and cap please. i don't see a real problem. to be safe pick them before the spores mature.

I would think that close to to the stalk they have to be either feeding off the food your plant should be getting or the plant itself.

Thanks You Guys...:)

Yeah, I think im gonna take it outside in the morning and pull the mushrooms outa there

Ive been seeing them all over in my garden beds too. :D

Leave the shrooms. There are one of two possibilities:

1. They are beneficial. Your plants like them.

2. They are killing your plants, and there is almost nothing you can do to save them. By the time you see mushrooms, your entire medium is essentially colonized with mycelium. Pulling the shrooms wouldn't do anything to help if this were the case anyway.

More than likely its #1. If it was #2, you'd be seeing some plant distress by the time mushrooms were fruiting.

ok cool, thanks Squiggly! :)

if the plant is healthy just remove the mushroom caps. don't freak out. life happens. in so many ways it is a good commentary on your soil health. my .02

Squiggly why would they kill it? I'm wondering cuz as I stated I got them and one of the worst runs I ever had. Is it cuz there are good shrooms and bad just wondering for my own knowledge thanks homiee

damn i wish i would have known that before i through out my $45 bale of promix, now i know the next time to keep what not to do.
thanks Ken for making this thread.

Theres a diagram about this in leadsled's grow journal page 2 or 3 and well worth the look and explanation fwiw. Personally just check the thread in itself you should learn a thing or two if unfamiliar with his work.

ive had mushrooms growing in my coco beds for the last year or so.. they do no harm, can put out a pretty heavy flush at some points.. they don't harm the plants at all.. only negative aspects i have noticed is if you leave the mushrooms to fully develop, the spores have started to clog up the prefilters on my carbon filters... and if you let them decompose and don't pull them off they will start to rot/decompose on the surface and a secondary mold (usually greenish) will start on the dying mushrooms... so i just pull them as they start to develop, or rake the surface of the beds when i see the pinheads starting to develop which just messes up there flush..
mine look different.. they are white and have a veil..
they prob came in on the coco.. they use it as a media to grow mushrooms on throghout asia..

I get shrooms in my girls beds all the time indoor and outdoor and every time i've had shrroms growin in there my shit comes out frostier then ever. Take it easy ken
