hey chickenman! Look what my wife just got in the mail

Coppereggs

Blue Copper Marans They will be going into the incubator in the morning
The two white ones are extra large store bought eggs
when they hatch, I will show pics of the chicks :)

Awesome, good luck with the hatch. No Sm, those store eggs won't hatch, he's just showing difference...

Beautiful dark color.......
My rule is, if I see witness a hen lay an egg I immediately crack it open and eat it , fresh as it gets, raw, warm, absoutely delicious full on egg flavor which is incredibly nutritious as well as tasty, if you can get beyond the texture, which I like......

I can swallow raw eggs...but I dont taste em much. :hungry:

12years ago we started out with 10 hens. We. Liked the idea of raising chickens and now we got 1000 hens in production. We moved to the country not knowing what we would do and now look......you may consider some meat chickens can get you eggs to hatch,special breed a labelle rouge cross that's incredible. Compared to the standard Cornish cross...

really a pan or knuckle guy, but brought this o1 fatboy back to life for a buddy...who let me keep her.
he only has a left hand, so if you look close you can see the throttle on the clutch side. fkn crazy. that was my first fix. full sevice with new brakes and re programming the stage 1, now she's purring like a kitten....
never had a fuel injected bike before.

NEAT! I would have been SO excited to see that, E.T. Nice scoot, too, love the whitewalls. I have to sell my bike, getting it ready to sell this month. It was fun while it lasted.

No, tis the season. I've been on my poor husband's back to do the same thing, and now I have found that I can no longer enjoy a pair of eggs over-easy (my favorite), let alone with grits & Tabasco. <hangs head>


Do you get good hatch rates doing eggs through the mail?

Her mom is into chickens, and after we watched "back to eden" we decided we want chickens. Her mom does the mail order and has had great success.

We have had pretty good hatch rates in the past..
The feed store sell chicks in the spring.....But I dont think they would have Copper Marans

I don't like what's being sold locally. I want true heritage breeds, and plan on getting a game hen or two for their broodiness.
