You arw good. I ran jacks in a warehouse using rdwc and thw n in coco. Just keep the pH in check and yourare gold. Jacks needs no MOST eeither, it is a complete. Nutrient.with a 3/2/1 mixing you are hitting company recomendation for general plant growth. An ec @1.3 will do wonders 1.5 under 1000w seems ideal. Fwiw.

Peace

totally, but I believe the OP is going in to a UC, so he shoudl be able to get away with a max of 1.0 EC. I ran some SLH a while back at 500 ppms (1.0 EC) all the way through and they did really well.

Water at that ec is irrelevant. The nutes provide it all. Never personally ran the levels that low. If fed every time this will work for sure

At a total of 500 ppm solution would equal 300 ppm salts and 200ppm water.

Should it be 500 ppm total or total nutrient EC?

Anyone ever ran Jack's in soil such as, FFOF, Roots Organic, or Sunshine #4?

This was when I was running RO water. You should get your water analyzed so you can see what is in it. I ran CS nutes this round, and woudl have had great results, but my AC took a shit at week 5 and I spent 4 or 5 days fixing it. In the meantime my light cycle got fucked up since the AC was in the room (had to fix it with lights on), and I could only run 3 of the 9 bulbs at a time. I think this caused my plants to mature a week early. They did not stack how I wanted them to, but the foliage still looks good at the end of the cycle. I was running around 600 ppms (1.2 EC) the whole way through on tap @ 250ppm.

Good to know. I'll look into having my tap tested, is it pretty cheap?

Does just about everyone run silica? I did for a while in soil but couldn't tell a difference.

I used to run a little silica before I began using Jack's. I honestly find that by week three the branches are so strong that additional silica wasn't necessary. This is just my personal experience.

I think Jack's is probably one of the best base formulas out there. It gives you a lot of room for altering it to your specific needs.

Organic supplements like Cap's bennies, Sea Green, Kelp, and/or compost tea are extremely compatible with it as well.

I've run Jack's alone and had great results. With the addition of a few organic supplements I noticed a tremendous increase in flavor as well as overall growth.

Nice thread, thanks.

Go to JR Peters' site & request a test kit. They can recommend a formula based on your water so that you have the right nute levels/ratios. Much better IMO than a 'one size fits all' solution.

I've got a new jacks question. Currently the PPM of of my nutrient solution drops as does the water level in my mother bucket.

Should I be trying to raise the PPM to a level where the PPM stays steady as the water level drops? Would this be an equilibrium so to speak between required nutrient levels and water uptake?

Comparing growth with Jacks to almost every nutrient under the sun= Never paying for an overpriced bottle ever again..

Currently running 3-2-1 @ 80%, also adding 5ml Silica and .25 Calcium Chloride. Also apply a Cap Bennie Tea via foliar once per week. My garden is screaming!

I have been topping off my Rez's. Haven't done a full change out.

As Ja Rule said...

It's Muuuuuuurdahh.

I use these ferts on my outdoor guerrilla grows. I fertilize everything around the whole area to keep it green and it is so cheap if you buy it at a nursery at the end of the year. As I did not see it mentioned.....there is a TON/PLETHORA of information aboput this fertilizer under its old name "PETERS 20/20/20" These were my first ever ferts I used and grew so many lush huge green plants....great ferts.....
