Here are two of my three Sour Bubble seedlings. The other has been repotted. I haven't had Sour Bubble in a long time, so I hope at least one in the trio is a lady.

The bottom pics are Captain Kirk x Sour Grape seedlings. Captain Kirk is an awesome strain from Viper's Venom seeds. Captain Kirk is Viper's Venom x Island Sweet Skunk. She has a nice up sativa feel and some skunky tangerine scent. I hit a nice Captain Kirk lady with some pollen from a monster Sour Grape male, so we'll see what happens. All but two of this cross are Captain Kirk dominant from their appearance. Redskywalker and BOG are great breeders! Love all the stuff I have tried from both of them. This should be a tasty cross.

Nice plants and nice comment about two breeders.

I hope your cross is a lucky roll...

I see lots of solo cups for starts and I sometimes use them too but have found th blue ones root faster than the red ones. Must be light getting through the red more.

Best are the black small agricultural pots with large holes that are slightly bigger at 24 oz I think.

Haven't taken notes on it but my head tells me reds root slower but turn females more often- blues root lil faster but seems slightly higher males... I'll have to jot down some notes on it next time around see whats what

Nice plants- in for the ride!

This is the Captain Kirk x Sour Grape that I potted. It is the one that is most like it's Sour Grape father, at least in the looks department.

Here is a group shot of the Captain Kirk x Sour Grapes that I still have in cups. The Captain Kirk seems to really dominate in this cross. At least in plant structure. With parents as good as those, I bet these will be some nice flavorful smoke.

And, gotta keep good vibes in the garden. A pleasant blue is much happier an angry red :o

Well, one Sour Bubble was a male so he was culled. The two remaining plants haven't shown sex yet. Here's hoping. Lol
I do have three nice ladies out of the Captain Kirk x Sour Grape.

This is the most Sour Grape dominant of the three Captain Kirk ladies. Looks very much like the daddy. I wish I had saved pics of him. He was a beast!

These two look like the Captain Kirk mom. They already have a skunky scent to them. Captain Kirk is a strain from Redskywalker of Viper's Venom seeds. It is a cross of Viper's Venom and Island Sweet Skunk. Nice sativa dominant strain with a tangerineish skunky aroma.
Now that I know these two in cups are ladies, I am going to repot them in two gallon Smartpots.

Sweet man! That's good to know! The one I did outdoors several summers ago was killer in spite of weeks of 100 degree and higher temps. If she's better indoors, I'm certainly in for a treat!

Your plants have powder mildew. It shows most in the last pic.

PM needs an environment that is TOO LOW in humidity. Low humidity also causes the droopy look. Do whatever you have to do to get the humidity up.

Get some Green Cure to eliminate the PM. Mix it at 3/4 of a scoop per gallon to avoid any leaf burning. Good luck.

Thanks man. Actually the white powder is permethrin dust. I has a bad problem with fungus gnats and I dusted the soil with it. Some got on the plants as well.

What is "permethrin dust"? Fungus gnats are eliminated using Diatomaceous Earth. If you are spreading that stuff around so much it gets on the leaves....then you are going to die. You have inhaled enough to do permanent damage. Keep pets and small children away.

Pyrethrum foggers are ineffective against fungus gnats. When placed too close to the plants they cause a speckled burn pattern on nearby leaves, not white dust residue.

If it is indeed just residue, then simply spraying down the plants should rinse off. Once it doesn't, take a leaf with the powder on it and check with a scope. PM appears as cotton candy like tendrils under a scope. Good luck.

I had noticed that the leaves weren't shiny and it does look similar to PM. I keep humidity as close to fifty percent as possible and I never get PM but I have had it and once the spores are in the room thy need to be eliminated. I didn't know that low humidity caused PM.

It really does look like PM in the pics! Hope it's just the dust as you say...but as PotDragon correctly pointed out...that shit is poison bro!!! And is either overkill, or ineffective against fungus gnats anyway! Diatomaceous Earth is good, letting your medium dry out helps most, imo. Also, the yellow sticky traps are all I've ever needed, but you have to put enough of them out to do the job. I don't make the gnats go looking for one!! ;) They're more like..."Oh shit...nowhere to step"!! A week or two of the traps, plus drying out my soil more thoroughly has always worked for me.

@ BOG - Not positive, but I don't think PM is "caused" by low RH, but that PM thrives in low RH conditions. The spores have to get into the garden & be present, as I'm sure you no doubt know. (I feel like an idiot telling YOU anything about growing! That's more for anyone looking for info)!

Whatever it is...PM or pyrethrum dust...I hope you successfully rid your garden of it. I wouldn't want to be smoking or ingesting either!!! PotDragon gave you some EXCELLENT advice in his post just above! If it were me, I'd pay close heed! Good luck bro! Best, -Max

Actually I thought we kept fans going at night when temps cool and RH goes up to keep th leaves dry and prevent mold propagation. So I figure lower RH helps.

It's new info to me that once present dry conditions encourage it. Is that right?
