I was just doing these outa curiosity next to my much anticipated bodhi goji og and sunny d.i wasnt really too bothered about em,kinda like yourself mr Rightbrain.but phrases like"super fragrant" "tasty mango explosion" and the best one"whith added baby puke"...this shit just got real.you guys hav got me kinda excited now.i just hope it lives up to the hype.i,ll be takeing cuttings from the GC that never got stressed and if theres any magic worth keeping in either of the other two,i,ll just leave on a few small buds and leaves near the bottom and re veg it then take cuts.cheers for all the insight fellas, much appreciated.anyone any comments or tips on how the can be grown best in organic soil.iv topped em all a few times to bush em out a bit.i,ll get some pics up tommoro.

Hello farmers.just a wee update on the GC.after about 10 days flower one of the first two has started to stretch a good bit more than the other.the night time temps in my flower room are less than ideal and can sometimes go below 20°.iv added a small radiator on a timer in the flower room to go on at lights out,but the larger, stretchier GC has started to turn purple around the growing tips as you can clearly see in the pic below.

Obviously having your plants turn purple so early on in flower is not a good thing.im just glad i had a decent heater that i could put in the room without burning em.the other GC is also going well.they really have recovered well from the severe stress they wer put through at the start.i,ll be waching these two GC closely to make sure theres no male parts growing on em because of the stress they were put under.the last GC is still vegging away happilly in the veg room.

At the start of this journal that after i ordered these GC seeds i read a grow diary of this strain and it hermied on the guy but wen he ran the cuttings he took from them outside they grew fine.now the two GC in flower had suffered alot of stress early on in life and i wasnt gonni be suprised if they did turn hermy and you guessed!they did turn hermy.heres a few pics of the male pollen sacks.

Oh well i kinda expected it but still dissapointing.the other GC still in veg receveid no stress atall and has been pretty pampered coz she,s the one i m hedging my bets on for a mother.she has a really strong fruity smell off her stem that the other two lacked completly.so this one is the test for me as this one has absoloutley no reason to turn herm but we will see but so far if i was going to buy green crack seeds again(which i might if the last one fucks up)i would just get them from hso as iv read one grow journal and iv grew tthe sicmed ones myself and they both had hermy problems.i know these plants suffered stress however iv had plants from fem seeds suffer just as much or more stress than these without throwing pollon sacks.i,ll report bac when the last ones been put into flower which once ov taken cuttings and let it recover that will probably be in the new year.haveva good one folks.

Hey guys, just a wee update on the last remaining Sickmeds Green Crack s1.the last gc has had cuttings taken from it and put into flower.the stem and leaves on this plant had a VERY nice, strong really fruity type smell to her in veg which the other two didnt.id be looking forward to this if the other two hadnt threw balls after less than2weeks bloom.the last gc was vegged for around 7/8 weeks and is very sturdy and pretty tall.(not stretchy sativa tall).it also has really thick branches.i think this is going to be a keeper if it doesnt herm out like the others.heres a few pics of it just before flip.

okSo here we are stuck in the insane limbo that is the week between xmas & new year . I hope you all had a good xmas . before I start on the last GC,I would like to make a point on the hermy issues of the first two . Now although they received a good bit of stress about 2 weeks into veg there was one other seed that received the EXACT SAME stress . It was a freebie fem seed of cheese x Nepal from cannetics . They were priced at £20 for 10 fems . that's around $35 US . IT flowered out without any manners or balls . a bit of rust on the leaves(a cal/mag deficiency I think)and that's it . To me that's the difference between quality fem seeds and bunk ones.good ones can take a bit of abuse but the lower quality ones will herm up if you even fart on them.
Anyway The remaining green crack is into its 3rd week of flower . It has stretched a fair bit since flip and is now towering over everything else in the room .in the second week I was convinced it was on the verge of going full blown she-he.it looked as though there were loads of balls underneath the pistils reaay to grow out.it was only experience that told me to give it a chance but as I said I was convinced . just shows you what I know(not much).not a single ball to be seen . The tops look as though theyr going to be a decent size but I think the GC could have been kept shorter & denser if it had been vegged under hps lighting .The smell of the flowers are a bit different to the smell of the stem wen rubbed . I'm not good at describing smells but so far I would say it smells a bit like one of those fruit flavored cold & flu drinks you get. Also the cuts I took from this plant were the fastest and strongest rooters out of 4 different varieties.
The night temps in my room are less than ideal, sometimes going under 18°.this has led to the calyxs going purple alth I ugh they can't really be seen under the fuzzy pistils . here's a few pics.

here's the GC cuttings after 9 days in my bubble cloner.(above)
here's a shot of the cheese x Nepal defficincie manifesting itself on a leaf . I thought it was a cal/mag deficiency but I didn't have anything to treat it . would love to hear your opinions on it.

Happy new year farm family . I hope you all have a good, happy and productive 2015.
So the last remaining GC is at 4weeks bloom and so far I'm pretty impressed . the tops on this one are going to be fairly substantial . for my grow room anyway . The buds have totally purped out but not the leaves . like a true outdoor purple variety although I'm not sure if the original cut is considered a purple variety . I know it's mainly grown outdoors in the US. Anyone with any info on this please feel free to share . here's a few pics of the GC @ exactly 4 was bloom . check out how purple it is!my night temps are lower than I would like but none of the other plants have turned purple . and there are cuts growing alongside the GC that are almost ready to harvest, that DO turn purple wen it's too cold, but they haven't .The smell is hard to describe at the moment because A-:it's a complex & unfamiliar smell, and B-:I have a cold.
So here's the pics..

Nice thumbing you we're worthy of a that female .....I have a pack of fem Cali connections GC Im waiting to pop. I'm hoping they look tasty like yours.
Stay the course.
Cheers germinator. and I will defo "stay for the course".The cuttings I took from this plant rooted amazingly!probably the fastest cloning cuts iv had.(I'm terrible at cuttings)they started getting the wee bumps on the 3/4 day . for someone who isn't exactly a"master" cloner, this easy to root GC will simplify things for me.if it is a keeper that is . It's definitely going to have the yield to be a keeper . let's just hope the other criteria for a keeper is there also.

Right so i still hav a bit of a cold but my nose has cleared a good bit so I can now get a proper sniff at the green crack and all I can say is.....WOW! This is without doubt one of the fruitiest smelling varieties iv grown so far . The smell I get from mine is like different layers of smell if that makes sense . first up is a kind of sweet fruity child's medicine . and then there's a smell that smells EXACTLY like diluting pineapple juice that hasn't been diluted yet . I let a pal who knows his stuff get a whiff and he was very impressed . The buds are getting fairly big as well . I just hope there's a good bit of strength to the taste of the smoke but im almost certain it will be top quality.

Right,so the remaining green crack is into its 6th week of flower.i have started flushing the medium through with tap water until the water runs clear, then leave it for 2/3 hours and do it again until the water runs clear.i then leave it a few days to dry out.then next time it needs watered i will repeat the process and keep repeating it everytime it needs watered until the water runs more or less clear from the beggining.i have to be careful during flushing as dense buds can often suffer from rot in my grow room if i leave the flushing too late when the buds are at theyr densest.im not sure if GC is susceptable to rot or mold but i wouldnt think so with it being such a popular outdoor variety in the states.it looks like an outdoor purple variety.the top nugs are huge and purple.theyr not the densest or hardest flowers iv had but theyr by no means wispy or unsubstantial.theyr actually pretty dense when the size of the buds is taken into consideration.the buds dont seem to be the type of bud that suffers particularly badly from mold or rot.if anyone has any knowledge on this subject geel free to chime in with your opinions.
heres a few pics of my GC at 6 weeks 12-12.

the fruityness is just as intense as it was but with a bit more funkyness. Im seriously considering buying another pack of GC ,maybe from hso, just to see what i can find.thats if i feel this one lacks anything.if smell ,yeild and ease of cloning were the only criteria then it would definetly be a keeper.

Hey troops.the green cracks into its 7th week of bloom.the tops are getting pretty hard and dense and for my grow room theyr fairly substantial.i can see why this strain was a popular commercial variety.the yeild is high.the fruity smell isnt as intense as it was in the 4/5th week of bloom but its still ther fairly strongly.
heres another few pics ,though there isnt much difference from last ones i posted.

Not flowered them yet. Keen to though!!! Had a few different batches in Cali and really liked it. Not as long lasting or hard hitting as an OG but nice feel good high. Had a few requests for some gear that is a bit more functional am hoping GC is a winner. 56 days is nice for a production plant. 6 cycles a year...

I was just looking at the flowering time given by sickmeds for the GC and it says 7 weeks.i would have been sceptical about that if i wasnt already at 7weeks and it looks like it could be ready.but you know the rule.."when it looks ready...wait another week to chop." And i think thats exactly what im gonna do.
i read a few gc journals and it was mentioned that the s1 gc are more likely to turn purple than the original cut.although i didnt see any pics of any gc that were as purple as mine.
i have heard its not really that potent, more of a daytime smoke which will do me fine.

It does look pretty close. Maybe chop a bud now and leave the rest for another week. Then you can compare. Sometimes leaving things too long isn't necessary.
