I just harvested and the bud wasn't the dankest to begin with and in drying it really lost aroma. Im curing in glass jars at the moment. Im about to harvest some sour kush and would like to improve on the bouquet . Any suggestions are more than welcome thanx

How quickly did it dry? What are the area parameters? If it dried in less than a week, you want to slow that down.

Hi seamaiden, thanx 4 yer quick response. The room is 10x10 9ft ceiling height. I have an 8"oscillating fan humidities @ about 58%
about 7 days b4 stems snap. I really want my other ladies to preserve both nose and light color. These got a bit dark. Maybe i should cure b4 stems are able to snap just bend. In order to preserve lime green colors wich are desirable.

10x10, 9 ft ceiling one 8" oscilating fan 60% rh. 7 days. Also the flowers got a bit darker i would like to preserve the bouquet and lime green of my new run. Thanks for the quick response maiden, i appreciate all the info.

k your drying seems sound . the best way to preserve ( without going mad chemist ) is to buy a c vault . they keep pretty good u may lose a little color over time but the taste and hit stay . actually the hit increases with curing . Or you can pump your jars with a inert gas like nitrogen or argon witch dis -playsses the air so stops/slows down deterioration

Thanx bro, yeah the kid @ my growstore just told me about the cvault. A bit pricey though. About 100 bucks. They werent that pungent to begin with and if i can get them to be pale/lime color is more desirable around my neck of the woods.

try online and $100 gets u the big one and is well worth it .they will fade as chlorophyll breaks down . the thc goes up for first 30 days i beleive with minute increases after that up to 3-4 mths

Heres a peek @ my new run its a sour kush from colorado.

Nice the single bud photo looks alot like the oldschool i run sometimes.

I'm hearing reports that the Boveda packs used with the C-Vaults may be pulling terpenes, and thus the gorgeous stank, from the buds inside. Just something to be cognizant of.

Ok, I like that drying RH, and I think you should not change drying to the point of stems snapping, that's important. Is the room dark? I like that you're using a fan to circulate air, too, that is also important.

Right now, I personally think that your next most important step is the cure, done at a higher RH, and if you've never used the paper bag method you might want to give it a try. Debone, trim fully if you like, then pop into paper bags instead of jars. For me a one month cure isn't really cured, I like two minimum. Everyone has their own preference in that regard, but curing is when it really all comes together IMO.

Ok, I'll keep that in mind. Time constraints won't allow 4 a 2 month cure. 4 now @ least but i will keep a special batch 4 that purpose compare notes N mos def report my findings back 2 the comunity. Thax again seamaiden.

I found the key is growing a strain that absolutely reeks while its alive. The right clone only is needed for that, hard to find a truly special plant that when you open the jar people say wow. Your drying parameters sound good, the strain just has to be fully dank for the flavor to really come through in the cure.

Yeah man, the genes just werent there. The sour kush im on @ the moment isn't all that either though. The colas are massive 2ft covered in trichomes but the bouquet just isnt there either man. Idk wtf 2 do... im waiting on some SSH 2 get here from the Netherlands Nc what happens. Thanx 4 the feedback though.

Are you in a med state? Best plant to try first is blue dream. Good yield, pungent nice smell and hard to mess up. If you have to go with seeds a nice stinky starter is super lemon haze. Ssh is an awesome strain but usually harder to find serious keepers in small seed runs.

I ordered from what seems a reputable company but my first packs didn't get here in 30 days. I sent M n email N they were quick 2 respond but we'll C. Theyve offered 2 resend N if i actually do get my 1st order notify M so they keep track of such things. I just hope i get M in time, so it doesnt slow down my perpetual setup. Ive got the sour kush clones up n runnin on veg mode N wanna start flowerin in about 2 weeks max. Take a look, lemme know what U think. Any improvement and advice are welcome. Thanx bro

Not sure if you're talking to me but I would not do a perpetual setup. Less efficient and also harder. Best is sea of green/scrog. What's the lighting situation? 1000w lights, happy frog soil and light feeding with General Organic base nutes and calmag between 5.5-6.2 ph and you will have dank herb if you have the right strain and pheno. The strain is incredibly important. Oh and look up VPD chart. Humidity/temp relationships crucial for the dankness. Good luck man
