Well, Ratz!
Tried it before scoffing and dismissing. :)
Really wanted it to work.

It kinda, sorta, did, half way.
But if I was willing to spend time, energy, and pipe cleaners, I would not be using acetone, yah?

And then, I read the label on the Oxyclean.
DO NOT get it in your eyes, and at cleaning concentration, wear gloves it is a skin irritant.
Makes me not want to use it for laundry. :)

Guess it was worth a try.

Aloha,
da ol' guy

I put my quart jars in the dishwasher with Cascade. My glass bong goes in a solvent tank filled with two gallons of Simple Green and two gallons of water. The solvent tank is a plastic file keeping box, Iris brand.

Try this one time before you immediatley scoff and dismiss it......fill a glass jar (i use old pickle jars from costco big ones) fill it 3/4's with hot waterdump in a healthy scoop of oxy-clean, then put your resined pipes in there. Allow them to sit and have the oxygen attack and remove the resin/tar.....i bet you'll be impresssed with your results
I do use that stuff for damn near everything except stinks. If it stinks it gets the Odorcide 214.
