Good points, thank you.
Thinking on it, I do have this to add--the oil can burn even if you've followed all directions and applied during cool, darkness, etc. Again, this is a mixing issue, or rather failing to keep it mixed.
I have a large tank sprayer that goes on the back of the quadrunner. When I bought the sprayer I went ahead and got the tank mixer thingy, it's a set of valves that runs the mix back through the tank in a loop. Whenever I'm applying a large amount of anything with JMS in it, I keep this mixer going (gotta keep the quad running, it kills the battery). For those using something like one of those backpack sprayers or a rolling tank, I suggest opening it up and sticking the wand back in and running for a few minutes, as well as continually agitating.
I cannot emphasize enough the importance of keeping the JMS mixed in solution. I cannot. Let me see if I can find the pic of the plant I burned so badly one year...
Yap, here we go. Applied in the evening, this was the last plant to get treated. I'd forgotten about mixing the tank again as I moved over to her. I guess I only took this one pic the next morning. She never grew back out of it.
