I gotta wait till tmrw night to see what his estimate is but i think he is already trying to fuck with me and charge more for parts since he is losing out on the labor. I showed him that pic and said I would like something similar but with only 2 240 plugs, 1 timer, 4 or 6 120 plugs, the 50amp box itself and the 30ft of feeder cable I will need to run from my main fuse box. He responded with saying he needs until tmrw to give me the full estimate but just guessing he thinks the parts would be 100-150 plus he said the feeder cable is expensive and so is the box itself...???? The box shoulda been included with the 100-150!! Anyway I'll wait for the full estimate with the parts he will need labeled bc if he trys to be funny and shoot out a hiiii price I will source and buy all the parts myself and then have him still come over and do ALL the work for free!!!

Hell spread that bitch's legs a little more. What are you going to do for support in a few weeks?
How far is the main breaker box from where you want your subpanel?
Half the cost could be that lead wire... its beefy and contains quite a few pounds of copper...
Source you one of those lines at 6/3 and the length you want and then you'll know how much extra he's taxing you.

wait what does 6/3 mean? and whats the 55 amp and 70 amp wires called?? Are they just #6 and #4 or is it 6 gauge and 4 gauge? Sorry for all the questions Im just having a hard time figuring it out.....I wanna price about 45ft of both the #4 and #6 wires...that should be close bc I haven't taken the exact length...please...thank youHow far is the main breaker box from where you want your subpanel?

yea i need about 45ft + or - 5 ft@Lazerus00
I forgot about wire, it can be costly. My $120 estimate didn't account for the wire going from panel to panel. I've set up a half dozen separate grow rooms over the last few years and had a spool of wire I've drawn off forever, so I kind of forgot about that aspect of cost
yea i need about 45ft + or - 5 ft
yea i figure i need a 50ft roll or 75ft to be safe but Im confused to as if I need 2 seperate wires or just 1 and also what they are called so I can find prices online...lolAlways go with the + for anything construction related
so do you just need that 1 wire to run from the main box to the sub panel?I can try to be a temporary help....
6/3 wire I believe is 6 gauge wire with (3) cables? (hot, neutral, ground?)
6 gauge is the same as #6
Perfect!!! Thank you!No...I think you need something similar to this (not 500 ft)
please don't fall off your chair

Might have to contact electrical supply stores to get it by the foot.
