So im building a fence. I got up close to the house today, to dig my postholes to hang the gates (double) on. I dug a hole right by the house, footer as I expected. backed off 2 feet, concrete, backed off 3 more feet concrete, one more hole for good measure, you guessed it concrete about 18" down. I am fucked as to what to do.

I went to the other end of the fence and worked there. Then the wife called, she ruined and blew 2 tires today. murphy is following me around. bastard!

That is a possibility. I know a bud who ha a hammer drill........... This part of the house im trying to make up to was built in 1924, with numerous additions since, and additional dirtwork. Im thinking it might be the old sidewalk. Im using 6 x 8 pressure treated posts from that bigr place.......;)

I need to find the edge of the slab and see how thick it is. if its 4-6" I can cut the concrete w a masonry blade on my circ saw (hate to do it to the saw however) then take a hammer and some cold roll to it, and maybe break thru enough to get the hole dug down.

the thought of doing it that way blows my mind, ive got this fucked up shoulder and im getting old man.......lol......cant work like I used to, and hate to have to try.
