Okay guys,

This is my first grow and I have now read enough to realize that I have made quite a few mistakes.

I have come to the realisation now that it was not soil that I was using but some sort of coco mix. Not realising this I thought I'd better go careful on my nutes because I was afraid of burning it. Again this was down to experience.

I also didn't know about pot sizes at first and both of my plants I put into 1 gallon pots which most would agree are much too small.

My first plant Is 7 weeks old and flowering and my second is a week behind. The first plant is smaller but bushier and the second is taller but thinner. The new growth seems pretty healthy to me. Both plants are northern lights autoflowers and they are under 20/4 lights. (300w dual spectrum cfl)

Both plants are suffering from the leaves going yellow from the bottom up. My substrate ph on both plants is 6.5 as read from a digital soil probe.
I didn't give them any nutes at all until just over three weeks.

I feed them when the pots are bone dry and light. I am feeding;
1ml/l of cal/mag
2ml/l of biobizz grow
3ml/l of biobizz bloom
3ml/l of biobizz topmax
I also have ph up & down to correct the nute mix if need be.

I get that I've screwed up pretty bad and I think that the next attempt will go better.

But I am hesitant to give up on these plants at this point if there is still a chance that I might get at least a small amount of usable bud.

What do you guys think? Stick with it? What does my feeding look like to you? My educated guess is that the plants were bloody starving before I upped my nutes.

Thanks everyone

You gotta feed them they need nutrients. That's crazy man things happen like this on our first grows. LMAO :cry::cry::cry: not knowing it was coco until 30 days in. You remind me of myself.

Anyway now you got that figured out you can get on track :)

Thanks for your reply!

The light is a 300w cfl. The temp in the closet is a steady 23degC with the light on and around 20degC off. The humidity is kept at 35%.

Is this too hot?

Far as growing autos I know nothing. Also the nutes your using I'm not sure I know much about. That ok. You should use one brand of nutes and follow the manufacturers instructions. Your container size is fine but shouldn't be going as dry as you say your letting it get. Only dry on the top. Like take your finger and go two knuckles deep in the coco if it's moist down there and the top two inches are bone dry. Then your good to water.

Stop feeding them grow or youll have airy harsh buds, grow is for early life and bloom is for budding.

I don't know what type of feed autos do or get. But your blooming right now so probably stop feeding grow.

I just know on auto they have a set amount of days they grow so u don't want to burn or top or any of that that would slow down the growth of the plant

like u never take clones from a auto bc u cant veg back out

@tinderthumbs My coco and watering schedule would be a disaster if I watered daily. Not to mention how much nutrients I would be using.

u don't need to water every day but u just cant let it dry all the way out and when feeding u do full dose then like 1/4 then back to full

earth juice is good for this as a nute bc of not salts so no burning
