I like cool air, dark room, slow dry but living on beach keeps me around 50% humidity.
Curing is an art and unfortunately it's becoming rare! Between 8 to 12 weeks total time from harvest to smoke with my process. No humidifier, boveda packs, just mason jar and I have one of those retractable clothes lines attached to my wall, I pull it across my room when I need to dry!

Man 48 years! Rad!

I'm dry cure lover myself but I also love experimenting and trying new things cannabis related.

I've done dry cure, water cure... makes since to try freezing cure! I'm in the middle of switching my grow back to my old spot so it'll be a moment... and by middle I mean all I've done is take down some of my lights !

Thanks for the welcome. I swear I am not kidding. If I was doing all that work to have trichomes breaking off I would have stopped by now. Are you the guy, who lost the bean with the root? As long as you didn’t damage it it should make it up. I guess it is a personal thing. But, I transplant. No shock. You just have to do it right. As that one pic from a oster showed how much that plant’s roots grew in 6 days. Good luck.

I don't thinking you're kidding, I was just wondering if you were delicate with them when pulling out the freezer. No worries

Nah in not the bean guy.

As far as transplanting, I've done it for years most of the times no issues but when I started planting directly I had better growth and the roots filled the soil perfect!

I grow no till organic, so any time I disturb the soil I'm destroying the soil food web. My soil is going on four years and I barely add any amendments. Top dress kelp and neem meal twice a year and as some malted barley powder every once in awhile. That's it.

By not transplanting I'm not breaking up the life in my soil.

He had root growth in 6 days, correct.

Hi. Nice to meet you. Maybe you answered the bean guy? Lol! First day here. I have to get away from FB politics. Keep getting put in FB jail. So, I decided to try my other passion. No till. I understand from my organic days and being a professional gardener/ arborist. Ever think of red clover? Nitrogen fixing. Think about it. Don’t know about doing it with one gal., but.....

nice to meet you as well. Yeah I commented on bean guy. You was your no till? You still do it?

I use 45 gallons 2 - 4 plants and 100 gallons 4 - 6 plants.
Yes! I use like 10 different varieties of clover for 50% of my crop cover and the other 50% I use white dutch. White dutch is the best nitrogen fixer I believe. I also plant some dynamic accumulators yarrow is my favorite. Everything grown in my container gets chopped and dropped on top for mulch > decay > worm food > soil > mycos > roots > back to the plant. Not every nutrient follows that process but I'm sure you get the point.

Every once in awhile I'll foliar feed and IPM but I haven't had pest for a good moment so I don't IPM hardly I also have used compost tea in about two years.
I'm using less and less to see how minimal I can get. CSPM, compost/ewc, pumice each is 1/3 of the mix. 1 cup neem meal, 1 cup kelp meal, 1 cup crustacean meal, 5 cups basalt, 6 cups bio char, 1 cup malted barley powder, 1/2 gypsum. This mix is per 7.5 gallons.
I can use just water and top dress kelp and neem after each grow. I have multiple soil mixes that I experiment with and my main soil which is the recipe above. I love aloe Vera! Coconut water good too!
Here's the tonic and tincture I'll use every once in awhile.

I'd love to hear what you've learned in the organic and no till. I imagine you got some more tricks up your sleeve!
I also like learning about other styles as well!

I can hear it now! The trichomes will burst! No! The color isn’t the prettiest green, pink, blue, whatever. You smoking for color or taste and effectiveness in medical or other pursuits. These are my buds after being in Ball jars for about 10 months. Anyone see a ruined bunch of trichomes? When I broke into it it was still fresh and sticky. Yeah, at least give it a try!
