Small Plants

Greeting! I have a few clones that are nearing the end of the veggie stage (36 days ?). They are in 1 gal pots, indoor, and I do not want to make any changes. How tall should I let them get before changing my lighting from 16/8 to 12/12? Not sure what the max size for a 1 gallon pot would be

I would top or super crop. Go ahead and strip everything below 16 inches from the top. Try and focus the buds in a group instead of spread out for maximum harvest. Expect to stretch 2x at least. If it' heavy indicas then maybe .5-1x stretch

Ok, however if I strip everything below 16 inches nothing is left. The plants are currently only 16 inches tall. Do you mean to strip the fan leaves, leaving only the stems with multiple extensions? This is my second grow so I am very new to this.

Need more info to better help you bud.

How big is your grow area? What are you going to use for lighting? What is your growing medium?

The 6 clones shown in the picture are in a 3 x 3 tent. I am using MH lighting now, but will change to HPS when the time changes. I am using Fox Farm Ocean Forest as my medium.

I would Cut off evertthing from bottom 1/3 of plant and give it few days to recover. After that put them to flower. I' no expert just my opinion

Maybe even a transplant to bigger pot size if u can. I wouldn't expect great things in such a small pot

You want to know how big to veg..figure this..the plant will double in height when in flower ....so veg to half your height

Yeah imo it's time to shave their legs and flip into 12/12. Especially if you have 6 that size in a 3x3

Thanks, all of your ideas sound like the right thing to do. I don't want large plants. Just plants that are manageable. I was told that 12 inches of stem should yield 1 oz of dry bud. If that is a good average, I will be happy.
