Both spaces are 12.5 x 20 the yellow is the walkable area, red dots are the fixtures.

The one on the right is the current setup with a 6x15 of actual trellis area equal to 90SF, 55Watts per SF. Three 7 gallon pots, lighting with five 1ks, I’m hitting 2 tomatoes per plant without co2. I like this since I can walk all the way around the grow. I’ve been over crawling around like a lunatic without having space to work like a gentleman long ago. Hence why I’m sacrificing grow area for creature comfort.

Now to the image on the left.
This is what I’m debating on doing.
Three plants and fixtures on each side of the room each in a 5x15=75sf space. That only gives me 40 watts per SF for each trellis setup. The light drop will be significant. Took out the PAR Meter and am getting about 125 Par from the lights on the other side of the room. I’m looking at 7 feet before the spread would even hit the trellis on the other side of the room.

The last time I went with just 3 lights was a test with 3 new and different varieties and no co2 I had gotten 14-16 per plant so I’m not complaining. Their will be 6 fixtures in the room so with the extra photons flying around potentially adding co2 I feel pulling 8 would be in the cards for both style rooms.

Bottom line I guess would be should I build out one room to the image on the left and see how it goes. Is it really worth it since I’m now using 2x the coco and nutes for comparable yields?

I’ve been running Jacks now and the plants grow differently than in Canna, GH, H&G, CS, etc. They aren’t as wide they seem to grow straighter and the stalks are a lot stronger. Best decision so far I’ve made regarding nutrients.

I'm going to have to agree with @CaliRooted. Pics or I'm not seeing this as feasible. 2 lb per plant in 7 gal hempy buckets maybe.
Why is it hard to believe? I’ve have 4 lights in the same space with two 7s or two 10s doing the same. Watts per square.

It is actually hard to believe that you would even remotely think it is BS. Now if I said I was getting 4 lbs per plant I’d see some questioning.

Pictures speak louder than words, hard to believe in 7 gals without co2, that they would even get that big to produce anything near 2lbs. Piccccs

It happens every 4-5 weeks depending on the variety.

left config imo
I’ve been thinking about it and I believe to make the left design worth the extra labor I’d have to go back to 8 fixtures for 6 plants. 4 fixtures on each side over 3 plants.

Thats a great per plant yield but gpw is suffering....are u limited by plant count?

Exactly dude, plant count is the issue.
I just Pheno Hunt, test and play around in this space due to plant count.

I know im getting crushed on the GPW but it is a relatively easy space to work so it makes up for it and Jack’s is cheap.
I have to get CO2 up here by the fall, killing myself by not.

Most definitely. If you’re not using supplemental co2 and you’re growing with artificial light you are literally wasting electricity. Go w left design

I'm in 110% agreement. Only burners I have are water cooled. Been running the Mitsus and with the lower light load haven't needed to turn the 5ton of water chilling on and rehang the air handlers. That will have to be sorted.

What I'm looking to do within the year is get at least one room all LED.
I guess I'm going to have to start reading LED DIY threads and YT Vids.
Looking to put in at least 90 SF worth.
Seems to be the most efficient method but dam they’re pricey! And or a lot of messing around mcguyvering shit up- not for me.....
