1000w air cooled mh for veg and changed to hps last night after starting the first week of flower (12/12) under the mh. Thought it was time to change to hps after 5 days of 12/12. Here is before and after pics. What happened? Temp and humidity are good. Please help, don't want to lose this crop. Thanks.

Is the soil dry? If so water it. Just looks droopy is all.
Water is good. Solid is still damp. Just look at the pics from 12 hours before the flip to hps.

Its weird. Its like the branches are all flimsy now and not rigid at all. Crazy after just one night. Looked perfect before.

Maybe the hps is too close? It has more intensity than the mh. Could have been a shock. Plus faster uptake means they may have taken more nutes in too quickly as well. Looks like some wrinkle on some of the leaves. And of course the droop.

That’s my guess

Raise your lights up. It’s way more light than they’re accustomed to - and more infrared heat. Whenever increasing intensity do it slowly; you increased it a minimum of 30% overnight- way too fast. I would mist them w water and just turn on your low power overheads, no hids, for a day (lights on period) to allow them to perk back up. Then raise and dim your HPS and ease them into it over a week or so

Oh fuck..not good dude..they looked really good to..hope you fix it quickly..is your light dimmable.
Unfortunately its not. Im going to raise it about 8 inches and see if that helps. I hope its just a temp shock from hitting them with a totally different spectrum and not having the time to react. Thoughts. We'll see.

Check the stem for fungus.
IME it can take a plant down overnight.
no fungus. top soil is dry and no bugs or anything. I think it was just a change in spectrum and intensity just shocked them. i hope.

You say temps are good. Do you have temp. memory on a digital? If not dry my next thought is shock from a temp swing. I know where I'm at it just got real cold real fast. Good luck
Yeah temp stayed between 76-80 last night. That was my first thought was heat. I think its just the intensity compared to a mh.

I think (hope) you're right. I can fix that easily if so

i grow several veggies ,start um all indoors, before planting outside i have to harden them off,the red spectrum is more intense from the sun, inside you can mimic same thing just buy a dimmable ballast,i always start mine from veg ,back to 25% and work it up within 3 days you can be at 75% and let it go 1 more week and hit the full throttle if you please, but ya shock from being in the sun will sure enough take you were your at
