So I got another new light and I'm excited to see how this one works. The last one I used was in the Blackberry OG Bloom thread and that was a Matristar S1 150w 3000k, now I bought the S2 which uses a different light arrangement similar to a quantum board and this one is a 4000k which would be better for veg, but I plan to run it all the way through the bloom (as long as things don't start getting out of hand). Using a 36" x 20" x 63" grow tent and planted my Tangilope clone in a 3-gallon pot today. I hope to see roots shooting out the bottom within a week and then I expect it to grow very well.

Different light then I used last time, It was about 8" from my light last time I grew it and this light is more intense PAR so I want to play it safe...It's not a problem topping at this point, I do it all the time to my mothers.

4 full nodes is all you need, axe everything above the third. Strip everything below the third node too, leaving only the third node fan leaves and shoots. Repeat when the two new main stems have 4 nodes (2-2.5 wks or so). In theory, you can repeat ad infinitum, if you have the patience for the extended veg time...

Ah ok, I see what you mean. I still have lots more to practice with training. My 4th grow is just finishing up, improvement every time.

I don't worry about all that technical book taught stuff, this is a clone and I don't think most of that really applies I work on experience and common sense methods. KISS

There has been some progress with the Tangilope. I slowed her down a little with some minor topping. I believe I was seeing some bleaching on a few leaves so I have raised the light back to 18" above the top. The plant is now 18" tall.
This light is new to me still so I am being careful, not greedy...I don't care how much I get from this plant just trying to compare it to other LED's and to the 3000k LED I used for the last grow.

Tangilope at 33 days 12/12. It's giving off its awesome smell now. It doesn't smell like marijuana, it smells like a citrus air freshener!

Tangilope at 47 days of 12/12, already seeing cloudy and some amber trichomes in some areas! My last Tangilope grow, indoors under LED, was finished at 60 days. This strain or phenotype has a genetic trait of getting spots in the leaves, even when grown outdoors., but it doesn't seem to be an problem.

UPDATE!
After taking pictures on Sunday of this Tangilope I could see a lot of cloudy and a surprising amount of amber trichomes. I was surprised because the last time I grew this phenotype of Tangilope under a bigger LED it took 60 days for the tops to be finished. So Last night I took another look and all the tops of this plant were ready, they were 40-50% amber. Today I harvested the tops and got a very decent looking yield with at least half the plant still to finish.

I don't know why the last pictures are showing 3 times...? Or maybe only I see the "yield of tops before trim" 3 times..??
