Lesson #4 - Dont forget to change batteries in the EC pen often... lol

I checked my res today and it says 1.1ec, it was 1.5 yesterday. So I changed the battery and recalibrated it. Discovered I've been feeding 1.9ec for the last 2 days. Runoff ec for this mornings feed came out at 2.9ec. So I rinsed until I had it back to 1.7 or so...

Unreal... lol. I just calibrated it a week or so ago but the battery was nearly toast.

For some reason the plants still look fine other than the fact that tbey really stretched the last couple days lol...

You are dosing h202 right? Maybe spend 60-80 bucks at a college and get it tested along with the water and see if anything is fishy. Got me stumped. Maybe residual from the filters?

I am, and that's not a bad idea man. I'll take a look around and see who might be able to do that kind of testing. I'd be very surprised to see anything in the water after being UV blasted and dosed with peroxide, but I've been surprised before.

currently I'm dosing 3ml/g 29% once every fresh res, which is every 3 days.

I'm wondering if maybe the peroxide I bought is old or degraded somewhat. The bottle doesnt have a mfg or exp date that I can find, but it doesnt seem quite as fizzy as I would expect it to be. It does burn my fingers white though... I can say that with certainty lol.

Try every other day (instead of 3 days)and see if that helps your battle on h2o2 applications ( if it doesn’t , go back to 3 days and see the brand issues that u were suspecting it being old?)

I wouldn’t let failure kick ya in the balls or just say there one way to success . If it was me that’s what I would do eh

Yeah you should be covered then. I don't think that is the vector or the cause. I was dosing .5ml on tap water and never saw a single thing. That was every 7 days with a new rez (granted city tap water). It's weird that it's growing. I would think the UV would have all that shit blasted if it was from the base water. Maybe it is some sed from the filters. Growing just because its accumulating and isnt actually alive.

I was swearing at a safe I had. Forgot I put old batteries in it when I bought it and then it wouldnt unlock. I felt kind of dumb.... user error. Granted it was a cheap safe but still haha.

I'm really enjoying these little wool cubes in the pots. Very easy to maintain and zero transplant shock. There is so much air in the pots the roots are never drowned.

Got some cuttings of cookies, bubba and violator going too.

And I'm going to get the net on in a few mins here in the flower room. Here is a before pic. the moldy shit isnt slowing them down much it seems. They're picking up a bit of speed now and going to 3 times a day watering shortly. Getting hard to maintain a consistent ec in there as it sucks it too dry between feedings.
