I'm currently on week 3 of flower and I am getting tacoing on my newer fan leaves where buds are forming. My sugar leaves are also curling up and twisted. I suspected they were too close to the led lights so I put a fan above it and I can see no change a few days later I even tried upping the humidity when lights are on to 60% and when off the rh is around 50. I'm growing in 3Gal pots w/happy frog soil. Ph is in check. Runoff is 6.5. Ppms are normal range. I can see a little bit of a nute burn starting on the tacoing leaf ends so I'm gonna cut back a little bit on the nutes but idk why they are tacoing only on the very top leaves on every bud site. I've read that it might be normal with o.g strains but I have no clue. I'm growing 2 gelot OG plants and 2 white widows.

What kinda light is on them and how far away? Do you have an IR thermometer by chance? I'd be curious to know what the leaf temp at the canopy is when the lights are on em.

I have a 1200w led and a 600w led in my 3×3 tent I have them rigged up as high as I can get them now bout 24"-30" with a fan blowing on low between them to disperse any hot spots. The plants are about 2ft tall now I thought it was wind burn but all the bud site leaves are tacoing not just one side so I pointed the fan up more at the light. Idk everything I read on it says heat stress but I'm not an expert just hoping to ease my concern about what it is.

I wonder if I should only use the 1200 led for that size grow tent maybe the 2 lights combined are too much for them ? I have a thermometer and humidity reader in there at canopy level and it gets about 80-85 w/50% rh with a fan & lights running and lights off about 70-75 degrees 45% rh.

A fan can't blow away radiant heat. That's like trying to blow away a laser beam.
Too much light on them, and too much heat at the canopy is my guess.
Alright so would yall recommend taking the 600 out or just flipping the bloom switch on instead of both veg and bloom switches ?

I'd for sure take the 600 out. How many actual watts does the 1200 pull? I'm not an LED guy so I cant comment on the bloom switch thing..

But running LED I think it's especially important to monitor leaf temps, not just air temps. Just need a cheap laser thermometer. I got my old one for like $25.

80 to 85 with 50% is pretty damn hot,are you using co2,crap friend you want to smoke them in paper or a bowl not second hand smoke hahahah, which lights has the best actual wattage, crap i wouldnt go over 1000watt with my hid lighting in a 4x4 and your in a 3x3.
i think you should chill on the lights a bit friend, but your plants

I run exactly 31w per sq/ft lol. That's funny, I havent heard that recommendation before though. But yeah I think 30-40w per sq ft is plenty. On the higher end if you're running Co2 but for a standard vented grow 31w or so is plenty.

Sorry for the late reply (had ta work) but I think the mfg says that the 1200 uses 235watt total with bloom and veg switches on. It says core coverage is 5×5ft and a max range of 7×7ft so yea I may have over baked them using two but hell I figured them being led lights that the more light the better the yield would be but it's my first grow so I know jack squat lol all things considered tho I'm glad i caught it early enough to correct it and other than that issue everything else looks spot on.

The taco is a reaction to

- more light than the system can use -

This says more about the root system than anything. That curling of leaves is the only way respiration ( C02 in / O2 and water out ) can be controlled by the plant.

My advice would be to pay more attention to the root environment. Normally - Cannabis loves photons. But you gotta have the roots ready to do flow. Plants love a flow-environment and do marvelous things when we create the correct conditions.

What would be the best way to achieve this flow environment? Water more often? I've been letting the pots dry and get light weight before watering or feedings. But not underwatered dry just knuckle deep dry
