How true is it....that older units used to interfere with radio frequencies etc?

Newer ones do too. But some companies shield them like Galaxy. And my solis tech ballasts dont seem to have rf interference either.

i think you need quite a few electronic unsheilded ballasts to attract the attention of the cable company tech or something. One or two may not be a real problem anyway.

Yea I always remembered hearing something along the lines, but wasn't too sure what it was.

Hi MIM, 2 g/w in the industry, we can't make sure every grower can do that. Our TS lights average yields are 1.5g/w, that we are calling, but some professional and experienced growers can get 1.8- 2g/w. And the SP series is average is 1.8g/w, some customers also feedback us they get more results.

I only meant as an equivalency. The epistars should be around 1.8 right? And samsung on the same scale would be over 2. And thats with the top drivers run at a lower wattage i understand.

And if you are at an average of 1.5 then it isnt any cooler or more efficient than a 315 cmh on a low frequency ballast.

Thats all I was saying.

But i agree it is a stupid statistic. But its your company using it so I did too.

Can't simply do the calculate, it's so complicated, they are between 1.5-2.0, on the description of the replacement HPS or CMH watt is for reference. So we suggest people to know true watt. And from @Timbo0716 feedback, the results are good. TS3000 actual power is 450w.
I used a TS3000 and pulled 27oz dried bud from 5 bubba kush plants.

Why not call it the TS450? ;-)

I have to edit because some reason my comment wasn't in the reply. I was thinking about grabbing the 3000 for my 4x4 but since I already had one of the TSL-2000's I figured just to add one more to be easier. I think the draw on 2 of the TSL-2000's is 600w while the draw on a 3000 is 450.
You do the right choice, 2 lights better than 1

Id personally put 2 SP-250's in the middle since the coverage is more closer then put 2 TSL-2000's on the outsides to get a more spreaded coverage to hit the corners better.

I'm afraid that this combination can fully cover the area of 2mx2m, the TSL2000 and SP250 coverage both are 2'x4' at bloom. The tsw2000 ad TS3000 will be better, and don't forget our ts has the reflector can do better in the corner, can add 20% par value

But i do care if your review holds any weight from experience. Mars does not.
Actually, @SadBadGrower doesn't get any extra discount from us, maybe he used the normal discount 3% 😊and I don't know he have used our light a few months when he come to THCfarmer.
And We care! the review quality, we will carefully pick the growers, their experience, their growing skills, except for the random giveaway winner, we can't control it. For sponsor, we also never force them to say some false good words about us, the only thing we hope their real review about the light, their growing journey

This... has been an interesting thread today.

@MarsHydroLED definitely is battling against the past reputation of their products, but they seem to be aware of that. I also support the HK protesters, (👷‍♀️👷‍♂️+🛢) but with the CCP cracking down on VPN's and dissent in general right now it's not like they'd be able to speak freely about it if they agreed with us. The CCP has been killing people inside and outside of China for years to stay in power- Tibet, Tienanmen, Xinjiang, and HK are all examples of that. Authoritarianism requires state violence towards the populace on all sides of the political spectrum.

I'll probably get snatched the next time I have a layover there for writing this post. 😆

The US and Chinese governments have both done terrible things in the name of suppressing information. Speaking of which, is Marshydro located in Shenzhen? Does your company put the boards together there?

But back on the real thread track, how would you feel about matching competitors' prices for comparable lights? If a member were thinking of buying something from Kingbrite, what could you do to incentivize them to buy your lights instead?

I think I'll pickup one of your lamps to evaluate. I use a 5x9 tent with a different LED vendor.

I have a spectrometer to verify the spectral characteristics and a quantum PAR meter to get some flux measurements. This is the spectrum I get from my current lamps:

The current lamps use about 230 watts ( I use one per plant ) get great penetration ( often a bit too bushy ). Unfortunately - I don't usually gather gram/watt data because I cure whole branch and recently - whole plant - to get a better smoke. All that branch and stem stuff fucks up that measure-product plan. But I don't really care about the economics of it so much as not letting some other grower put shit on the weed I smoke and share. We may have recently un-fucked the compassionate giving laws where I am - I'm more into that scene anyway.

I digress.

I think the small lamp or perhaps one of the slightly larger sub-200 watt models.

dude i got ass blasted for basically saying the same damm thing!!! i do not own a spectrometer but i was willing to run one on my dime. this was based on the ideal that "one does protest to much" theory. now, the first rule of 'Light Club' don't talk about lights!!!! cats get uber freaky about this shit! i'm not asking anyone to buy it for me, install it, pay the bill, etc. sure advise is good and welcomed, but to attack members IQ, sponsors, etc etc, and such is complete BS. worry about your fucking room and what's in it. on a side note. some of you all ran down mars so bad my buddy a vendor no longer wants to carry mars at this point... so yea good job with the slander there, helped everyone i assure you.

at any rate i trust y'all stay safe and have a wonderful day!! i torn down my mars tent yesterday and started on a room instead. i will use my tent down stairs for heirloom vegetables and such , it's a great tent at any price point. oh i forgot, i bought a light off ebay!!! shun me and scorn me!!!!!! fuck it price was right and i needed it for the center of this new massive space! thanks to you dirty whores around here!! i have outgrown not one but two 2x4 tents and one 5x5!! you guys are horrible role models. thank you for that!!!!! my new space is just under a 100 sq feet and i hope to have it finished up today. i ran out time yesterday and had to toss all my plants in there at dark, lights go out today after the mail, wish me luck. i'm not one of those handy around the house with tools kind of guy,,, i once swallowed a fishhook as a child and cut my finger tip off with a axe in the same week. meh off we go!!
