Good morning fellas,
I've cloned about every way imaginable over the decades.
The most determinant factor I've concluded is cuttings should be taken from plants that are a minimum of 8 weeks old for 100% success rates.

Just my 2 cents.

I always wait for signs of maturity but never really go past 6 weeks to often. But still pretty strong plant by then. Thanks for the tip.

I used to love raccoons until I tried to chase a big one off my deck after he scared my cat off and ate his food. Went after him with a broom and he grabbed it. Chased me into my cabin and rattled the glass paned door like he was going to come in and eat me. I was scrambling inside. Funny now. Not at the time.
thats funny,my in laws cabin in colorado we would stand out at the fire at night ,next thing you knew something be rubbing along your leg, look down damn coon standing there,my father in law feed um dog food ,so they came by every night and hand feed them ,i got a damn possum in the trap as i write

Biggest factor I find is root zone temps 72-75f, a room temp of 80f usually gives me that. That's pretty much it and with my peat pellets making sure I have 100% humidity. Soil packed tight to the stems. Very little light under 5k lux preferably around 2-3k, mine right now are about 1k. Never had issues yet but I do know some strains take better than others.
I use inkbird and propagation mat so my temperature is always where I set it. I used to use 80° but I've dropped it down to 78° to see if it makes a difference this run?

On a set in the bubble cloner that failed there's a clear gel-like substance that forms on the bottom half inch of the stem below the waterline; at first I thought it was the Clone X but I used clonex on the successful runs too!?

Last unsuccessful set I used cloning powder and still got the same Clear substance?

Ok. I have no idea if this is true but i read in a few grow books that the lower branches will convert to rooting faster and more vigorously than upper branches that are focused on new leaf growth.

Also read that best results are on nice young flexible stalks. More difficulty if woody or stiff.

Other than that i copied the older women out here that have amazing veggie gardens. They grow massive tomato plants man!
I believe it is true, however I also cut the tops to keep them in check because they get too tall

Yum..! Tomatoes!! I've got a freezer full of red sauce! 😋 I'm already looking through seed catalogs for this year's plants, think it's going to be Whoppers again and maybe try an heirloom variety this year too?

Look at these Beauties! I donated a couple hundred pounds to local homeless shelters last summer and still had more than I could possibly use!

Most of my plants don't go 8 weeks in veg, If any cutting isn't rooted in 14 days they get trashed.

Exactly what I do. If I want 2 clones, I make 4. I keep the best 2 and toss the rest. Someone once called me a liar cause I said I've never lost a clone. I havent. Cause that's how I do it. If it's not taking its in the bin, no time for it to die. I could spend time and energy trying to nurture them. But fuck it. That's why I make double 🤣

This is what 21-25 days from rooted cutting does for me in coco coir.

And they end up like these.

I also love the results from using promix hpcc. The coco really seems to work great. But I'm in the middle of trying to get back to DWC. Nothing I've seen beats the growth of a good non medium based hydro system. EG: Dwc, Fogg, spray, whatever else I'm forgetting.. I also have to get away from hand watering. I spend way too much time in my garden right now.

Hahahhaha see I knew it! The truth!!! 🤣😂 that’s how I always have done it as well. Cut twice as many and toss those that don’t look the best. @BigCube I thought we where friends now. It’s not like your name starts with mars and ends with sucks 😜

Here are some more pics of the Aroma x BLT I took the cuts from. Love the structure for single plant harvests. Now we wait to see if the buds are as good.

Not too shabby for 6 weeks veg under 18/6 with fluorescents and almost 2 weeks in 12/12 under the HPS 600’s. Thats what i need. A nice vigourous fast plant.

But like the toxic blue I had running. She could yield almost a half pound of lemon pledge smelling fire. This one better have great flowers too. Her parents were both great seed after seed.

Now here is the second Chocolate Diesel s-1 From seed. Much better mono harvest plant structure. Could fit 5 under a 4x4. Big fat stem and tight branching. She had at least doubled in size in stretch and has grown huge leaves. This plant is quite different from the branchy thai leaning one last seed. We will see what we get here. Wasnt planning on cloning this one but she might be perfect for a tent grow under a 315 cmh i was thinking on.

Nothing to smell or taste just yet but the new bag of soil and large perlite i mixed seems to be working properly again.

Got some more nice veg plants coming over the next few weeks. And should have a couple plants finishing by then or sooner.

I grew 10 of these seeds out last 2 years. They are fast and picky and needy. But they had very unique flowers with an indescribable smell mixed with a mango or tangerine. CH9 is actually the original breeder of tangerine. Not those goofs at DNA who stole the name for a weaker plant. I understand it was found in a pheno of Ed Rosenthal Super Bud. Which was Sensei Seeds old top of the line plant. $250 for a pack of seeds even back then when they had the killer Sativas. Which is ridiculously high in my opinion. A pack of these seeds was like $70. And feminized. Unlike the original parent.

Crap @Aqua Man i was talking about the aroma not the chocolate diesel you like.

Damn Im high. I took merely 2 hits of the critical mass x blt. I dont think much is going to match a good ch9 plant. Shame the breeder was so bad with social media. That man has a serious gift. Just not for socializing and selling in the new market. Lol.
