Those plastic covers to make them look like old school light bulbs drastically cut the performance of those small led's.

It has had to deal with the cold temperature in my area at the moment so it is only just over 2ft tall I was just wondering if I need to give it more time or will it never start

Very true. Some are difficult, I use a hacksaw to start and they usually pry off after I cut through the plastic. Much better/stronger light. I'm using them in my small greenhouse, from 4am-7am and 5pm-8pm to give plants 16hrs and keep them in veg. Works well. I've got a couple GDP's in there now and vegged 12 girls to 2 months old before moving to a larger greenhouse to flower.View attachment 935253
