i also suggest if you havent got the perlite yet,is order some course perlite off amazon,i havent found any local around me,but the course perlite is your friend,the stuff sold local is like sand and mush ,no volume to it.
when you get your bail of pro mix ,check with jimster,it might need more lime added to it,depending on which you buy,the old fuddy duddy is pretty sharp when it come to pro mix.
i treat all medias the same ,coco ,hydro,soil,soiless,only difrence is the ph change for me,i use that hannah scale and feed my plants by those numbers and dont have many problems

yep thought so,another lady here lisa used same stuff,same issues,i used it before i went in hospital for my wife to grow in ,same thing,the soil is airy and full of humus and wood chips and such,does freaking great for babies and seedlings,with WATER ONLY once you feed nutes ,turn for worse,even my veggie garden dont like the kellogs with nutrients outside.

Promix holds a considerable amount of water, but doesn't get waterlogged, especially the HP version. They make a potting soil, but I've never tried it and I think it is pre-charged with nutes. After about a month, a 5 gallon bucket has roots coming out of the bottom and if you remove the entire root mass (at the end of flowering), you will find very little loose Promix... it is mostly a tangle of roots that hold everything together. I don't recommend using the soil more than once, though. The buffering materials will be mostly used up and the plants don't seem to grow as vibrantly... maybe older root fragments inhibit new root growth or something.
I would also check out your local water to see if it is necessary to run RO water. I have found that the less stuff I add to the soil, the better the outcome seems to be. I might consider bumping up my feedings to once every week instead of every 2 weeks, but I will watch the plants carefully and see how they are responding

that young and transplanting like you did,it gonna take a few days to come around,so with that said,it would not hurt them at all to mix 1 tsp of epsome salt in a liter of ro water and foiler spray ,every third day to plants come around,wil feed them some cal and mag,it is feeding on the baby leaves right now

if you take the mix i mentioned and do a ppm test on it,it should be around 100 to 150 ppm ,that is good for cal mag to you get some,epsome salt has sulfur and magnesium in it,plants be loving them both.you can use this until you get the cal mag,just water in with your reg feeding ,the babies up till about 2 nd seed of true leaves need feed at 250 ppm ,the babies i dont go over 150 ,the plant lives on those baby leaves i cant ever remeber what there called,cl something or other hahahah,but the plant feeds on it,when those leaves fall off,thats when you start feeding your plant

This thread got crazy. New growth looks better, if given the opportunity they'll be back in force. Here's a few things I'd be mindful of:
1) Getting an accurate pH of RO water, with no mineral, isn't easy. At this point, if you don't have calmag, consider mixing maybe 25% tap water to your RO. If you have already got calmag, start at 2 ml/gal.
2) Once you start mixing that Fox Farm, start low. I personally think they're a little ways from really needing it, but in any case, be aware the grow big is pretty strong and fairly acidic. It can lower your pH considerably once mixed, especially in RO water with no alkalinity.
I'm sure you're sick to death of hearing about pH. It'll get to be second nature in just a few weeks, so we won't dwell there.
It might be helpful to get a pic of the entire space, to see lights and their distance from the plants. Also, I can't tell what they're sitting on. If they're on the cold floor, that may be making the roots uncomfortable.

Measure the water run off from one or all your plants, or you can make a slurry from the soil and use your PH tester.

Somebody mentioned that as well. I still need to Google how to do it, which I will be doing today. I think I need a PPM meter too.

Man.....thank god I don't worry about Ph in my grows. Looks like a major pain in the ass.

Start off with a PH tester, or invest in both. I have only the PH tester, and have been very successful.

That's all I do is ph my water and leave it at that. I haven't tested my soil

In general, I would expect any peat based medium to have enough lime to keep the ph right over the duration of a 3-4 month crop, as long as what you're watering isn't too far out of range. In 10 years of growing, I've never checked the ph of my substrate.
