I put together a chart following the water loss. The daily timing of my measurements has not been exact, AND I did not weight it as soon as i cut it. First measurement was 16 hours after cut, so i extrapolated.
Day | Weight (g) | Daily Change (%) | Total Change |
Cut | 77 | *extrapolated | 70% |
1 | 65 | - | |
2 | 40 | 38% | |
3 | 31 | 23% | |
4 | 23 | 26% | |
5 | | | |
6 | | | |
7 | | | |
Total weight loss from water so far is 70%, so I think this is close to final dry weight. I haven't seen any reports of more than 80% weight loss from dry. Also, i wet trimmed because of the high humidity where I live, so there should not be much weight loss from final trim either.
In researching this I came across an article saying that authorities try to use wet weight to charge people and they have brought in expert witnesses to explain the formula for final dry weight and normally in court cases they use 75-80% of wet weight
