Thae is the more common 98 bubba, and imo is different from bubblefunks.
Do the bubba’s with smaller buds have weaker stems?

Yeah I'm not a bubba expert by any means, but I'd be surprised if they were the exact same cut. That said, this is by far the best alleged pre 98 bubba I've ever smoked when it's done right. But I dont claim to know anything about "elite cuts" and the gems you guys are talking about from specific people. Over my head dude.

Regarding the stems.. not really any weaker no. It seems fine until about week 5 or 6 of flower then just never really plumps up like it should and finishes a week earlier than anticipated.

Mine do that as well but usually only on older strains. When it happens to me I usually notice a white saltlike buildup on the crowns of the plant. And it goes back to a root/bacteria/virus problem.
Can’t really say that is what your experiencing though. Growth changes in veg as well when I have this problem and the only way I have found to knock it out is physan20. And only taking strong cuts.
If you don’t already try using something like hydroguard from the beginning of flower.

I've been using great white and enzymes this round and use UV to sterilize my water. I cant get hydroguard at a reasonable price here unfortunately. Root issues had actually crossed my mind as a possible cause. But it's weird that it's really only this strain that gives me problems. None of my other plants give me this kind of grief. So maybe a virus or bacterial problem could be the cause and it's only really infecting my oldest weakest strain. Physan 20 might be next if it doesnt stop happening...

It sure would be nice to get it producing reliably again because it was and still is probably my favourite smoke when it's done right. So distinctive and pungent.

Ya sounds like you may be in the same boat. Can you get +Life? I think that’s what it’s called. Enzymes never helped my grow especially late flower, I like the great white but your suppose to stop using it halfway through bloom.
The bacteria of hydroguard or +life will protect throughout the whole cycle until flush.
Physan20 I highly reccomend if your having these problems. Anytime a veg or mother plant looks at me funny they get a couple days of the physan20 at 3ml per 5 gallons. Works like bleach so the plant doesn’t take it up.if I notice plants crashing halfway into flower I will do the same for 2-3 days then get back on the hydroguard.

Thanks man I'll see what I can find. I cant get hydroguard or +Life locally or on Amazon at anywhere near reasonable prices in Canada. Closest thing is voodoo juice. Pretty much the only benneficial bacteria the local stores carry. I got the great white from Amazon. What's in it that it shouldnt be used past halfway in flower do you know?

I swapped out Hyrdoguard for a Southern Ag product. Has the same stuff as Hydroguard, but a ton more concentrated. Since it's sold as a general ag product you might have more luck finding it at an acceptable price.

Not available on Amazon.ca and I havent seen any southern ag products anywhere before. Never heard of it.
When Canada introduced the new pesticide laws not long ago anything that works well, went bye bye for anyone that doesnt have the specific pesticide license to use those products. Even great white, hydro stores cant sell it here. I have to order it from the US. But only one at a time... try ordering 4 or 5, theyll get seized. Canada's weird. I cant buy spinosad, hydroguard, azamax,... none of it. I cant even import monterrey garden insect spray anymore or buy any spinosad product in Canada. If I had a greenhouse pesticide licence I could buy conserve, but I dont lol. And the stuff we can buy hardly works, or doesnt work at all. Great white is high test in my world lol!

I don’t think anything is in it that you shouldn’t use but you also don’t want your plants to keep working on the root system, may take away energy that should be going into the flowers though .
