Glad I could help my friend! I've wondered about using it at 4-18-38 by itself too, I think it would be fine especially in mid-to-late flower but I'm not sure so I'll follow along and see what you come up with but I don't see why not??MasterBlend Update
This is the place to purchase. $45 for 25lbs includes shipping. The calcium is still available on Amazon and at a better price w/ free shipping.
I've looked and asked others about using MB from start to finish with no luck so I'll have to dial it in with some trial and error.
From the time I started using MB (Sept 19) I begin with half strength for the first 3 weeks then 2/3's from 3-5 wks and full strength through veg. Works well.
Once flipped I tried cutting down the calcium then eliminating it altogether the last month. I didn't like how the plants faded.
This round I cut the calcium and magnesium by half and added another half strength of the tomato fertilizer. The plants have really responded with their stretch.
I'll continue lowering the amounts of the cal/mag as flowering continues but so far I like the results.
Agree but again I didn't like how quickly the girls faded. By adding more of the tomato the N is upped as well as the P & K and the plants are responding very positively.Glad I could help my friend!
