No real such thing... Depends on your goals what suits ya. As long as they are buffered you can make it work. Some like organic premixed some like no nutrients added but I think most will agree a soil with good drainage is important so some benefit from added perlite/vermiculite. What kinda conditions is it going into. I run a very hot room like 84f so I feel I have benefited from the added vermiculite bit in a cooler room might not work so well and perlite would probably be a better option.

I have 0.5 soil grows under my belt. Just flipped to flower as I typically grow hydro.

Hi Aqua man,

Hope all is well mate.

Well I won’t be using canna terra professional again as the PH range is strange for soil, (5.8 to 6.3) what the hell.

Well aqua man I need a good soil. That has the proper PH range good drainage, and also good quality. Also temperature has been hot here in the UK, which is very unusual lol. But I think we’re had our summer getting cold now. Tent runs between 24 to 26 Celsius which is good right.

I would love to grow in coco. I have done a couple of grows in coco. We’ve great results. PROBLEM is (my partner) she won’t let me feed them everyday, apparently I take to long. I take my time watering slowly, playing some music to them, she hates it lol.

aqua man at the moment, ive come up to a problem. I’ve included a photo. My leaves seem claw like (looks like N toxic) but I’ve also looked at it, also wind well cause them to claw like that. Also have brown spots on them. Shall I run some cal-mag through them on today’s feed, do you think.

cheers mate.

Good afternoon Leeroy,
Ive gotten really good results with a hybrid coco dirt mix. I like to use high nutrient soils (vermi fire, coast of Maine, happy frog, etc). But I find the soils alone hold h2o too long and I get over water or nutrient burn on the plants. So I mix a 2:1 coco to soil mix ratio. Ive been really liking the results on this most recent grow.
you sure those dots arn’t mite activity. You’ll want to nip that right quick.
keep growing,
GJ

Fox Farm ocean forest / coast of Maine Stonington blend

I answered your question on your other thread before I saw this one about the spots on your Leafs you have a severe Mite infestation not a calcium or magnesium deficiency

I stick with what works and subscribe to the theory if it's not broke dont try and fix it, have used fox farms ocean forest for 9 years a nice light mix for autoflowers, happy fog is a bit hotter, never used pro mix but know it's good, if your running autoflowers i highly recommend ffoc, anything else happy frog and pro mix should suit your needs, steer clear of miricle grow as is not suited for cannabis.

Wind can cause issues but I think as @Beachwalker said. Mites and over ferted are the likely culprit. Also with the ph if the nutrients are high you will find your soil ph may be low.

Also if using a preferted soil don't feed nutrients until you see signs they need it. After a grow or 2 you will learn when they need it. Underfeeding is much easy to correct than overfeeding and overall better for the plant. More nutrients don't equal more growth.
