Nice, my plant is in the ground as well, didn’t droop at all in the 108* weather. Good thing because its going to stay in the 100s here through Thursday. Never been a fan of containers outdoors personally, no shade on all the great growers that use them.

those deep, infrequent waterings in May, June and July really pay off when the heat hits in August.
For farmers experiencing heat issues outdoors they can try watering thru a 4 inch layer of mulch which will keep the soil much cooler. They can also block the direct sun off the soil and trunk of plant with a sheet of cardboard, etc., during extreme heat times. Me on the other hand fade like a fuschia in this heat.
