Was up the hill above my house tonight glassing for bear on the coast across the valley and I saw 3 choppers running for fuel and go back to the fire, and the ridge had high winds, so those boys have their work cut out for them. ...
Fire in the sky......

That's the sun in the middle of the smoke.
We'll just half to see how it goes...
✌
There always has to be that fool who starts a fire in the forest when things are hot and dry
That's always the big suck about Summer. Fires and hurricanes. And the crazy thing is the part of the country that could use the hurricane to stamp out a fire never gets it. Ya look at a map of fires and it's like the whole western US is a blaze meanwhile there's a storm on the east coast that could probably put out a lot of 'em . Looks like SoCal has another bitch of a blaze going now too.
Beautiful pic brother, stay safe!
Weather here has been quite nice. Low to mid 90s and cools off to around 85 at night with a cool breeze. Last night was beautiful as my wife and I had our first date night out in months, going to a drive in movie. It was our third try at going to a drive in...First two times were cancelled on us due to a hurricane and the local tiny drive in had a fire themselves. It felt like I'd never experience a drive in so I started to plan building my own while searching for more drive ins no matter how far away they were.
I ended up finding one about 45 miles away and am really happy those first two were cancelled because the one furthest away was exactly the thing I wanted to experience. The movie was the original Jurassic Park but it was really more about the venue and experience. Very retro 50s with old school neon sign lit up to see from miles around in the darkness of Central Texas....nostalgic concession stand, huge parking lot, lots of cars with freindly people keeping the social distance thing going, and the biggest movie screen I've ever seen.
I'm obsessed with drive ins now and will build my own retro style one car drive in theater in my driveway. More on that later next week when my speakers and projector arrive
In the meantime I got home around 2am and figured why not go take some pics of weed!
I'm still trying to work out the picture lighting thing and am getting close. Plants are swelling nice, gonna be a lot of beer bottle size colas and golf ball size nuggetry at harvest.
Lots of funk coming from these ladies ranging from dead animal, dirty diapers, fruit salads, pine tar, and spoiled milk. Still a few weeks to go for most and they all seem to be oozing nice loads of grease and oil. I've been giving them moderate doses of Terpenez 1x each week for the past three weeks and it seems to have them swollen with oil. I'll squeeze a leaf and it drips juice and reaching into the canopy feels like fly tape sticks to my arms
gratuitous food porn shot...wagyu beef tacos with all the fixin's in nacho cheese crunchy shells. Kinda like those Dorito Loco tacos at Taco Hell but jacked up to another level
And my latest seed order arrived from GPS. I figure as long as this 'rona thing has me living in a bubble and I have time to spend growing weed I'm gonna grow weed.
Rather than a couple really big crops a year and taking time off between grows I'm thinking 4-5 small crops back to back to back kinda thing. Like a perpetual mono crop plan growing small batches of hand crafted fine cannabis
One thing I really like about this smaller garden is the space around the plants to work and inspect. I'm usually blocked out by an impenetrable jungle around this time of a grow
Yields may not be taking such a bad hit either...There's a lot of quality in this crop of 8 and when I have 12-13 plants in here some quality suffers due to over crowding. So what good is a high yield if some of it is great and some of it just ok? I'll take less yield for high quality in the entire crop any day!
I dont usually grow feminized strains either but what the hell ya know...these are weird times and I'm doing a lot of weird things I dont normally do and if there was ever a fem cut to grow Purple Crash seems like a helluva cut to get into.
So as soon as this crop is dry these beans are getting dropped
I hope everybody is having a great weekend and staying safe out there! Keep it lit Farmers!! ✌
