is that damage all towards the top of the plants, or bottom, up and throughout the plant?

were the leaves yellowing (purpling?) before drying up? and stems are purple in colour?

nurse them to harvest....

If you're talking to me, it started at the bottom and worked up to the top. The purple was there as they flowered it looks beautiful and smells amazing! But, bad soil and locked nutes I think are the cause for the leaves dieing off. Just nursing them until they are ready (hoping soon)

i'm in the same boat, going down (or is it up?) that creek!

it's hard to see others doing so well with their grows, while we struggle hard.

i tend to be 'half-empty', not 'half full' type - i'm still struggling with my first indoor grow(s), where I have toiled to get towards my first harvest from my tent. i look at the current crop in my tent, and see so many deficiencies in my growing skills.

that half empty perspective is that others are doing well, while I struggle hard.

flip it over to the other perspective, the 'half-full' - at least it's not empty - view is that we're on the path toward becoming more self-sufficient, producing better quality/yield. and this path of ours is one where we gotta all walk by ourselves, with any outside guidance accepted. so, if you're gonna make any comparison, better to compare your previous efforts with current/future efforts - rather than comparing yourself to others. and if you're making improvements - not doing the same thing, expecting different results - you're heading towards the goal.

i have to talk myself to be 'half-full'.

hang in there, it should get easier...maybe you're half-empty type, like me.

you're 'half-full' type.
Don't be to hard on yourself about it the more you grow and the more you learn on the way will take time a lot of us older growers have had to go through what your feeling but we had no one or any real place to source info I've spent over 40 years growing and only now I'm getting the reward of my growing ability and knowledge I've gained this site has helped me fine tune the grows use this time to hone your skills of reading the leaves of your plants there the windows to there soul . That is a thread. Dont worry about it. The struggle is in trying too hard. "what will be will be" is the best advice. I mean you can do a pest management and other things to help. But my point is even then things go wrong. Key is to remain calm and use your brain.

If you get fungus gnats in the future. Just try mosquito bits. im watching 3 die off in almost same manner(damping off and pythium, with potential mite attack as 2ndary to the pythium). They were sooo good. The other ones are 7ft tall or better and its just part of what happens.

I dont think its the good grows that separate a grower. But the bad ones. Its hard to say if its even quantifiable metric of skill more than expertise. There is no magic dance that makes them grow better. Just the knowledge you use to help them be better. Im pretty sure scientists have trained monkeys to be able to follow/perform basic tasks.

Basically what im saying is "dont be afraid to fail on the road to success". By that i will add be responsible not reckless. Less is more. experiment, try new things. But stick to keeping your feet on the ground. When trying new things remember if there was a magic secret to the product, you'd know about it.... and it would probably be in the directions.

One day someone will look at your grows and think those same thoughts. We all feel at times someone else's grass is greener. But use these moments as what helps you get there.

Makes it easy when i dont want to be the best. I just enjoy growing things. I love trees more than cannabis apples and cherries in terms of growing and knowledge. But i find across the board as i farm. Its all relative knowledge. The biggest resource tends to be others.

If You’ve Never Failed, You’re Not On The Road To Success. So just enjoy the ride :)

I love this thread. You experienced growers are so helpful and eager to help us push through and onto better things.

Let me know when you chop and how it goes! I'm eager to see!😊

Random question guys just hitting week 8 of flower. Is this purple color genetics or is something wrong. Just now seeing them change from the nice green. Don't mind the tip burn I had a nutrient issue a little while back.

Almost from like the middle up. Only 2 or 3 fan leaves are showing the change in color right now

Don't mind all the string and the super cropping spots. Home girls growth was a little wild. And she's really heavy now. But the fan leaf in the one pic is the only one so far besides the initial pictures I put up with that coloring. The other leaves look like they're about to start turning

crawling of the leaves as well, suggesting over-nut'ed a little.

purple of the leaves - assuming only some at moment, but growing in number of leaves 'affected' - can be bit of both even, genetics and conditions. purpling of the stems of the leaves are also another indicator of the plant's health.

purpling of leaves and stem can be associated with magnesium - are these plants known heavy magnesium feeders? maybe apply some cal-mag, if you haven't already.

but i'm just throwing this cal-mag out there, as a possibility - you gotta start the investigation of its source. it's not heat, it's not humidity, what's your pH levels?

Ph is 6.0-6.2. Temp is 72 degrees. Humidity is about 48 right now. And Ppms are 700.

I did use 5ml of calmag per 5 gallon bucket for two weeks and ended up with ntox so I cut that out. Because I'm using masterblend 3 part, urb, and liquid kelp.

okay, ease off the cal-mag. give it a flush, next watering.

is there other damage on the leaves - brown/dead spots or is it just crawling & purpling leaves.

check your run-off pH, as well.
