Quick post showing two of my plants. All plants started as clones purchased from Archive in Portland. The first one is a “Sherbadough” and the second two are “Do-Si-Dos F2”. I have a total of eight plants and seven strains. I’m running two of the Dosi’s.

All eight of these plants started pre-flower/flower, meaning a couple pistils popped on August 2nd. I’ve been watching super close as a newbie and this was definitely the day. Now seeing that got me excited, because it was a couple weeks earlier than locals said it started last year, but since then only one plant really kept pushing forward in flower, the Sherbadough and a couple weeks later the Dosi’s decided jump to in the game. I’ve attached a couple pics and a video below. It’s looking really healthy. None of the plants have hit the stretch phase I’ve heard so much about, but at least the the budding on one has been slow and steady and that’s giving me something to watch. I just want to see HUGE growth. :-)

Next up are my two “Do-Si- Dos F2” plants. They are about ten days behind the Sherbadough with regard to when their pistil production picked up and things started to cluster and take shape.

The remaining five plants have continued to grow but they are moving along very slowly, healthy looking, but taking their time. They have all gained a few more pistils in the last 20 or so days but no major jumps in size or flower. Still waiting.

Right below are the Sherbadough pics and a video. It shows the stacking really well in a few places. Assuming it keeps moving forward it should be a good producer. Every branch is stacking like the two I show in the video. I do have one question about bud development since this is my first grow. Will all those buds on the branch in the pic I provided below “ideally” grow together into one big main cola?. Assuming good genetics and I do a good job growing. Just curious. Thoughts?

I get some stuff they perk at the nursery in my progressive town they say is alive and best to use it immediately. They also say I can use it in any dilution. How would this be different than Budda Bloom or Big Bud? Sounds interesting but I'm not quite understanding.
I will message you

Those of you that are in fire affected areas like myself. Are you going to spray your plants to clean off any potential ashes? I am trying to avoid spraying much in flower, but I do think I will need to clean her off after the smoke settles.
The smoke and ash has been pretty bad here in the San Joaquin valley of California, my plants were covered but I just shook the ash off all my plants. I was debating whether or if I should rinse them but giving them a really good shake took 99% of the ash off my buds.

Any one else wash their plants at harvest? I wonder if that would help or if the ash should be taken off sooner than harvest?
I wash my plants almost every evening. Spider mites hate water. I spray less water when the plant tops get large enough to bend the tops down.

Hey there, your plants are looking great! It’s bud development is mostly genetics Mother Nature and how well you feed and look after them. Look for finished pics of those strains might give you a better idea of what you may expect to see. I’ve had them developed like a spiral staircase or straight up cola up top sometimes. Hard to really say but your internode spacing looks great Bro !!

Late start this year but hey I could have nothing right. This is my second grow, got these girls out in mid June. So far it's been nothing but dry amendments ( bat guano, bone meal, ew castings) with well water. It usually comes out between 6.8 - 7.2 so I haven't made any adjustments. Should I be trimming out the middle and lower parts at this point? Any advice welcome.
