Yes. I took the top buds. The bottoms have bushy horizontal branches. You are totally right, they have a few more weeks. Its snowed here in Sept, so I kinda planned on them finishing by Oct.
Well even that first pic looks like it has a while. I'm only trying to help you. It gets cold here and snows in sept too but I take them down when they are done and never go off of breeders times or when I want to.

You want to wait til most of all the pistils have died and have actually receded back into the bud. At that point you can also check the calyx with a scope and make sure all your trichomes are cloudy. Never check the leaf itself because they mature faster and it gives a false reading.

Up to 25% of the final bud weight comes in the last 2 weeks of growth. Yours still has a ton of swelling to do and is premature.

Wow....interesting tip I haven't seen mentioned. I've been checking the sugar leaves closest the bud....guess I need to read into the harvest times a little more. Thanks GL.
Yeah its def a rookie mistake. That is why so many harvest too soon.
The bud is composed of many many calyx's and when the sugar leafs look done and you check the calyx themselves you will still see a lot of clear heads.

fed them a worm casting tea with some glacial rock dust, silica, and epsom salts. all i had at the time. ph at 6.1. trying to keep the leaves on as long as possible as they've soaked up all the nitrogen and yellowing bottom/up. or i switched to more P/K too early and possibly got a nute lockout. topped the beds heavy at beginning of august. hoping the tea helps 🤞

I really wish I knew what strains these ladies are, fortunately enough I'll know all the strains for my next grow since I have a wide variety of seeds such as GG, magic melon, blue dream, sfv og and a few other strains I can't remember haha but I'll definitely be keeping track of what plant is what this next grow!

Beautiful! I'm in a similar situation--will you need to secure the top buds in any way?
It wouldn’t hurt to scrog the top As well
