I’m looking to grow 4 plants at least 1/2lbs each in a 4x4 grow tent. I already know about genetics, training methods and other assortments to maximize yields. I currently have a Mars hydro TSW2000 @300W and wanted to know what lights can be added, amount of watts, spectrums, etc to tent for it to achieve that

I have 8 in a 5x5x7

. I use the Marshydro TS3000 and I added a MarsHydro SP150 for a little extra on the side, but I have to run it about 10inches lower to make the light output somewhat equal. They do a fantastic job. This phots is 3-4 weeks old so the ladies are bigger, but the lights have not changed. They get flipped to 12/12 tomorrow.

You need about 1200 true watts. I put i plants in 4x4. With 700 to 800 watts and get about 2

Why does he need 1200 and you only need 700? Is it because mars sucks? imo 300w for my 2x4 is perfect. Idk if mars is any good, but 600w of good led.
600 true watts is plenty no reason for 1200! Not even with a Mars

Right so i run 700 watts and with 5 plants i didnt get 2 pounds. So i added 3 plants. Now ill get 2 and half. Maybe?

Thats not even the conversation... He gonna need more light to get a half pound out of each 4 plants.

More plants wont help if the space was already full. Theres a limit to how much will fit in a sqft. You can grow one plant or 20 to fill the tent. Any way you want will work. Good light and environment plus good genetics is whats needed if you want 2oz/sqft not the number of plants. Number of plants does get you there faster.

Yeah Id say 600 w per lb, 300 each plant. You could do 900 if they were close and dispersed perfectly and your canopy really flat, you could do it with strict training. You would need fiming, topping, bending, scroging, all from early on.

One 150w light over one plant in a 2 x 2 makes 1/2lb. Its very doable.
Wow! Have you gotten that? Thats about 1.5 g per watt. I was curious to know how much over 1g could be done. I bet your environment and training were on point!

Only if your lights suck. 600w of good led will work. Half pound with 150w is done all the time.

Honestly, genetics is 90% of it. If you don't have heavy buds, you ain't gettin 2oz/sqft no matter how well your environment is.Temps and humidity can vary a bit.

I have 560 true w on my vegging plant now, so I was already over kill for a lb at 1g/w and Im gonna add more when I grow into the bigger flower screen. I may be able to reach closer to 2lbs with 144 tops and the 800w Ill probably have hovering about a foot over the flower screen!

If I add the Cree cob 3000w(600 watts) to the tent 4x4x7 and my tsw200(300w) willl that be enough? Also i’m seeing a lot of mixed input. I’m doing four plants but from here it seems you guys are saying if I do more plants like five or six, I could get the same yield with less wattage/lights. Is that true?
