Thought this was interesting. Have a G13 haze growing in Coast of Maine Stonington blend. Top of soil at base of plant was matted with fine roots so I added another couple inches of same soil. After the heavy rains of the past two tropical storms in NE Massachusetts the packed roots grew upward through the new soil giving the plant some extra boost. First time I’ve seen this.

Did you amend the soil a few feet around the root area before planting? I've seen this before but it was a very heavy clay soil. So roots searched for the soft soil to grow into, was like hitting brick wall for the roots. Looks amazing so far. Can't wait for everyone's flowering pics.

Soil not amended around the root area but it’s a sandy soil and no clay. I’ve had compacted soils at all my plants in the past but never threw loose soil on top. I’ll probably continue this method on a couple plants next year because developing late root mass near soil surface should definitely enable better uptake of bloom and terp nutes during flowering period.

Hope all goes well MadBud!

I wish I knew about those timers for your faucets sooner! Could of used one of those a few years back when I went camping for a week haha. Came back after the week of camping to my plants nearly dead, drooping and exhausted from not having any water and due to the 100+ degree heat but they bounced back immediately after giving them a good drink! This was when I had my little greenhouse full of plants, I was really shocked to see them survive after so long with no water in an extremely hot greenhouse. Really goes to show how resilient and strong cannabis plants are!

We shall see, turned it off for Sunday, weather says overcast, otherwise 80-100°, bright moon and sun.

Kinda late in mi season but oh well it'll be alright probly lol they're "early flower" stains that I cloned and can't work em into the next run. Gonna try keeping em as low as I can. Super cropped the big 3. These were on 21 hours light until today they're going on nature's light schedule lol I think it's around 13 hours of daylight now

After an extremely hot and humid week I've noticed some spotting pictured. As I dive into the middle of the plants there are leaves that have yellowed and looks almost rotted away. The over all plant seems healthy. Is this just a result of a ton of rain heat and humidity over the last week? Should I defoliate the affected leaves?

Yes it has been insanely humid and no wind since a 2 day downpoor. I washed off the few tiny spots of pm that I found. Oddly the only pm I found was on exterior of the plant and only like 10 leaves. The interior of the plant is where I noticed leaves yellowing and some that had alot more of those spots pictured .... But no pm .

I can't figure out what those spots are!
