Due diligence. Found the fault, loose wire connection in the light itself. Back in action. Thank God wasn't looking forward to that swap. And the plants under the light look dope as hell. Gonna take this opportunity to pull some leaves. Crisis averted...

is it possible it was over tightened?

or manufacture fucked something up.

anyways, glad you did not have to go through all trouble of the wiring and putting a different light up.

also looking forward to seeing any differences between the two sides at the end, in weight etc.

Nah I had it on and loosened the connector, then pulled the wire up and out of the fixture, and as soon as I had tension on the cord the light came on. Then I tightened the locknut and backed out of the room 😆

But I'll learn to do electrical if I have to dammit!

Not always easy being handy haha. In the last 24 hrs I've repaired bad wiring on the fly on one of my plows, fixed a running toilet, installed a shaker on my salt spreader, sorted out this thing (I won't say its fixed), made a multipurpose beacon light with both a 12v plug and alligator clips for battery connection,.. I dont do well with idle hands, but sometimes I'm just like fuck i wish someone else would do all this shit for me. But few people I know, know how!!

At the same time I find a lot of value in having useful skills and wouldn't want it to be any other way. I like to dig myself out of whatever hole I find myself in.

We've all had 'that' client.
He calls me at 2am. I answer and he proceeds to tell me how this piece of junk computer isn't worth the money, yada yada.. So, I ask, what happened? He says the lights all went out when he pressed the any key. Turns out braddah had a power outage in his neighborhood. His timing was perfect.
