And this raggedy Peachtree seems to think spring might be here! But the 30 miles an hour winds for the next couple of days, might blow all the blossoms off before they get pollinated! That’s been known to happen! At any rate, I think it’s time to start, figuring how to implement all of the hair brain schemes concocted over the winter into our summer plans,Cpurrrrr!😃

That poor tree! But the hash! How long is it going to take you to make it all disappear?

And yes I've already started the growing season and FAILED miserably!
Tried to influence a flat of seedlings by leaving them in the dark with a couple of bananas. (that doesn't sound.... LOL)
Anyways, I left them too long in the dark and after I brought them into the light they almost all promptly died. ☹️
Another one on the 'won't do that again' list. Geesch that one is getting longer by the day. LOL

Anyways, have you decided which and how many of your landrace seeds to grow?

L O L! I’ve got one of those rap sheets, too! I am a lightweight! That would last quite a while! I give most of it away! The fun is in the making! I’m gonna grow as many of the land races as I can! Maybe only a couple of regular plants! But I’m not even sure if I can get the seeds to pop! I think I’ll throw one of those freebies in the water tonight just to see if I can pop them. They might be pretty old! Of course, they are thinking the same thing about me!😀 really looking forward to giving them a try though!

So I've got a sh*t load of reg. seeds and I'm a gonna try and whittle them down to only females. I let them soak overnight, then put them in seed starting mix in a 72 cell flat. Figure I'll transplant in a week or so into 3-4 inch pots and I hope they'll be comfortable enough to stay until pre-flower. I'll take a pic of my hoo-joo setup tomorrow. So tired. Double dug my 12 cannabis planting spots today and picked out all the damn rocks.

My bone meal is supposed to show up tomorrow along with the rain. So back to my jigsaw puzzle. 😉
Enjoy that hash, I'm enjoying my 'cookies'. 😁

And an idiot at the helm! Time to weigh anchor and steam full speed ahead into the maelstrom! Decided to try dark heart nursery, you can put them out in March and April if they are seedlings. Bullshit! Nothing but a cute little balls and cute little buds! A couple haven’t shown yet but I don’t have high hopes. but being an accomplished failure, I have 12 more in the solos. And more seeds to pop. The only thing perpetual about my grows is perpetually popping and starting new seedlings to replace the ones I kill! L O L! Been getting bugged about starting a thread for the summer so time to make my ineptitude a matter of public record. Stop in and take a look if you want to feel good about yourself. Will post some pictures and updates periodically. And howdy to all you hot weather growers.
why seeds touhg ? just get a mother and make clones, its faster, cheaper and you are sure that the plants that you dont kill LOL are female. You dont want to go anywhere near your secret grow until you harvest so going back to weed out the males is gonna be an extra risk and if you have to happen to be a bit late you might end up with a part of your crops being fertilised and then you get bunk weed.

No! It’s not that gorilla! Lol! About 100 yards in back of my house on the other end of the pond! Four years now, and nobody has fucked with it! Knock on wood! I okayed it with the neighbors, who happened to be a couple of retired sheriffs! Anti-pot, but good Republicans! They said we don’t give a fuck what you do on your land!😂 I used to see one of them on the front page of the local rag out busting gardens in the yolly bolly wilderness! Now he comes down and takes a look every once in a while and we bullshit about them.

Cloning requires lights and other equipment! Too much like work! I prefer to do it the old way! start three times as many as you think you need to finish! Sex them out! And stick them in a bag! I’ve got it pretty well figured out in this hostile environment! Been happy with the results so far! Ain’t nothing but horse sense! Plus I like to grow multiple strains!

By amending soil and accumulating over the years, I figure it cost me about 500 bucks to Grow about six or 7 pounds in the jar last year! Doesn’t get much cheaper than that! And I waste a lot of money fucking around with stuff. Lol! Don’t bother to weigh it anymore! It’s plenty to play with over the winter!

Weather shaping up! Swimming pool, looking good and inviting! But still a little chilly for my old, sissy, ass! Did you ever take those pictures,Cpurrrrr?View attachment 2135551
Beautiful pics @Oldchucky and I did take some pics but they show my ineptitude but I'll post them anyways.
Lets just call it another experiment. 😉

Seedlings left in the dark too long:

But like many before me have said, "these plants are weeds and can handle abuse" so after 2 days in the light and most of them dieing, I transplanted the survivors. Started with 72 seeds and ended up with 16 plants. Unfortunately, half of them will probably be male. ☹️

Ethylene servivors

So, I planted more, but they're slow, so I put a seed starting heating pad under the flat. I just gotta try not to cook them.

Thanks for the pics! And I will have to agree with you! Your seedling stage is a work in progress!😁 the transplanted ones, look good! And you have to think positive! Only seven of them will be male! I wouldn’t have the guts to attempt that many at one time! Lol! More power to you! It looks like you have a great germination rate! Just need a little work on the survival rate!🐒 sorry! I can’t help it! It’s early and you will figure it out! Anyone that can pull off a harvest back where you are at should have no problem figuring it out! I think you are the woman for the job! Thanks for putting them out there and keep us posted! I’ve got to get back to mowing! It’s a nice warm day here! Take it easy, Cpurrr!

Supposed to be 78 today but I don’t think it’s gonna quite make it! Cooling back down next week! Mother nature likes to throw you a bone every once in a while! I hope we get a few more mornings in the 30s! Sifting weather! As soon as it starts getting up into the 80s, I will grab my innertube and hit that pond! It is as good a place as any to have a heart attack!😃

I wish I would have started a few hives outback! Getting too old to mess with it now! Honey is one of those super foods you can’t go wrong with. Can even use it when you’re patching yourself up from a slight miscalculation! Lol!
I’m sure there is someone who would be more than happy to throw a couple hives out on your property!? I have friends with many acres and zero desire to keep bees but have someone who keeps their bees on the outskirts of their property. They get honey at the end of the season : ) the larger 10 frame hives can get heavy as shit! You could probably just trade some things for honey though huh? 😂😂
