Good luck with the fishing/catching.
Do you have any problems with the plants laying against the plastic?
Last year I had one resting against the outside of my green house and it got mold.

I make sure no buds are leaning against that plastic the heat will burn them so I'm always tying with what else fishing line LOL

Was just typing asking for an update. Glad you are handling business. Hopefully, you have far less you have to toss than you initially thought. Thinking of you.

Oh, weathermen wrong? Not a chance. 🤣
What a bummer cpurola are you and your hubby against putting in high tunnels ? I'm just wondering if there are other growers like yourself in your area?

that shelter closed up in case of raining- not a bad idea 😉
or just upper pop up gazebo roof? now they have express ones 😆
yes- I was just browsing in gazebo pop up roofs 🤣 imagining Cpurola free from 🌧️⛈️🌧️

We get pretty good winds here in the summer so I'm not sure if a tunnel would survive. I believe I just need to manage them more appropriately.
1. Start and plant later.
2. Prune and defoliate often.
3. Keep them short.
4. Spray, spray, spray

I've been rather lazy this year when it comes to spraying and it shows.
And actually, the bud rot has been less, and the leaf wilt extreme.
Timing during the growth cycle of the rains and temps have alot to do with that.

If it's fusarium I may have to become an indoor grower. 🫤

Yes, and yes.
Possible/probable it was in the dirt.
That would explain why the 'extras' plot isn't as affected.
Yet. 🙁

not necessarily
what did you use to fill?
and how big were the holes? do you have a clay soil as your yard?

Yes, red clay and lots of rocks.
I dug out the sod, then dug a shovel deep, then broke up the subsoil with a landscape fork.
Mixed wollastonite, bone meal and worm castings with soil and put back.
Hubby filled the boxes with 'super soil' from a landscape company. No idea where they got it.

Everything looked fine until flower. (of course)

Well that's just sad to see. It's a full time job as you know after seeing all these big grows on videos i see why they have 12 people working daily on the farms. I could not of done what you do with all the plants cpurola. You just had a shit season with pathogen problems. I'm so sorry, and you did work hard enough trying that's alot for one person and keep a house up. This is why i needed to down size and keep sane LOL dang old chucky better not comment on that one the old goat.🤣🥰🤣

I don't think your timing will ever be an issue just keeping a bullet proof coating of good bacteria does so much. I heard the mendo dope boys say a long time ago they spray labs every night. I will say this was the difference for me this year.

Chucky wouldn't say any thing about any ones sanity. There's the contract he signed. The one with the Sanity Clause ... (boom boom tkkk)

Most of us are probably old enough to remember that one. 🤯

You know, you did mention Fusarium once and I didn't want it to be true so I looked for the answer elsewhere.
But, I think you may be right. The 12 are suffering greatly and the extras not so much.
The only real difference is the dirt. And the only thing I've found online to combat it is to bake the damn stuff,
which means cover with clear plastic and let the sun cook it. So, no plants there next year. 🙁
