Went ahead and chopped the ladies down. I had to use a hand saw to cut them down. It was like a tree trunk. Huge! Lights off in the tent for 1-2 weeks. Hopefully they don't dry out too fast with my tent being in the low to mid 70's. Plants are some heavy, chunky chunkers! Thats for sure! I'll post more info and pics when I start trimming. Trimming shouldn't be too hard as I lollipop pretty aggressively prior to flower. I also pick a lot of unnecessary foliage as I go. All in all product turned out great. I would grow again. However it definitely is a very slow growing strain. You can see the plants in my closet lapped these and they are over a month younger. Over all im happy with this run.

All I can say is wow! Phenomenal quality! Thanks for all the help yall! Onto the next one. I've been trimming all week! I was a bit sloppy with the trim job but w.e. Im smoking most of it myself so its all good! I am really impressed. Thr new light definitely helped with the density of the flowers. Amazing!

Thanks guys! I just cleaned the tent out and did some much needed maintenance on my other plants. I really neglected the crap out of them! They were so cramped in the closet and were growing into the light. I think with a little bit of love and lots of training I should be able to scrog these gals. Im honestly curious to see whether or not they herm because I really beat the shit out of them. I grew this strain before and really liked the flowers. I have a ton of these seeds so i really want to see their potential. Went ahead and defoliated a little and top dressed with castings and Gaia 444. They stretched a lot but I think I can use this to my advantage. Should be easier to weave them in between the scrog net this way. Im gonna give them a few days to get acclimated to their new homes before transplanting and beginning the training process. Im wondering if maybe starting fresh would be a better idea? Idk. I kind of like a challenge though. That and I have enough weed for a whole year already. Lol. This is going to be interesting!

Your plants look healthy. I would just flip to flower with what they look like and forget scrog, etc. Wouldn't start over for sure and wouldn't transplant.

They just need to bud.

I actually thought about maybe doing just that. However I don't think they have enough headroom if I level them as is. They grew way too tall and lanky. I feel like the buds won't be all that great if I flower them as is. Maybe ill just flower them and enter the 1 gallon challenge. Lol. I know those roots are cramped in there! What do you guys think?

They are looking healthier already! I might just flip them as is. Im kind of curious to see what the bud quality would be like on these untrained lanky gals. Also wanna see how the buds would be considering the small 1 gallon pots they are in. I know they might fall over from the weight of the buds though because the stems are kind of week. Plants don't grow good cramped together in a small spot. Hard to get proper airflow and leaves die when they dont get enough light. Just all around shitty. Still undecided what to do. I like a good science project though.

So this happened. Lol. It was messy. To say none the least. Supercropped a lot of branches to make them fit. I honestly thought they wouldn't be able to take the abuse. They have since started growing nicely again. Lol. Another week of canopy maintenance and flower time. Im curious to see what this 1 gallon 4×4 scrog will yield. Science experiment at this point. Lol. Only downside is having to water daily with such big plants in small containers. It can get tricky with watering and top dressing, ph balance etc in small pots. I think 2 gal pots are perfect for me. Whether it be coco or soil. Aloha Limone in last pic! Very nice weed imo.

Cheers

So its been about a week since the ladies were cleaned up thoroughly and set up with the scrog. Took off a lot of ugly leaves and branches that were useless. Most of the branches were literally broken and layed on their sides. There were a couple casualties. A couple small tops didn't pull through. I'm still impressed as I manhandled the shit outta these plants and they are still chuggin. I decided not to transplant as im curious what the ending weight will be using the 1 gallon pots. I hope I don't kill them when they start drinking alot. Right now I have to water every 2 days tops, sometimes everyday. Hope I can keep up with it especially since I'm usually gone on the weekends. So 2 days. Definitely gonna be stressful but I think I should manage. Well see. Next Monday they are going into flower. I want to give the new growth a chance to get situated properly. Theres still some yellowish leaves as the bottoms were exposed after training, however the new growth looks healthy all around. These have been so resilient, wow! It looks like a sloppy Scrogging because the plant were already so huge. Its easier to install a net and scrog as the plant grows. I think I did okay given the circumstances. What do yall think? Also, if anyone has experience top dressing Gaia Green in small pots maybe they could chime in with a proven regimen. Im new to this method of application when using small pots such as these. I was thinking a tablespoon every 2 weeks for bloom. 50/50 veg bloom one week before flip?

you amend for the size of the pot/bag,. not the top dressing instructions

So like 1 tablespoon of the bloom every 2 weeks? That's what I've been feeding them right now with the all purpose 444.

Slowly coming around. One week into flower now. Its a damn messy scrog. Lol Plants were too big. Beat these ladies up for real though. Thinking I maybe should have just flowered them without scrogging. Whatever. Not so optimistic about this one. Well see what happens. Ill be starting a fresh new grow though. Train them properly as they grow. Gonna be interesting to see what I yield considering theese small pots. I will definitely be using bigger pots next run though. Im out of town too much so its a bitch to water them in 1 gallon pots. Need to water daily or two days tops without getting into ph problems. With all being said I think they'll come around and give me some bud.

Starting week three here. Seems like they are coming around. Little buds are starting to form right now. Probably another 8 weeks to go. Maybe they will finish quicker this time due to small 1 gallon pots. Watering everyday now as they need it bad in those small pots. Feeding general organics flower phd to about 6.4.

Cheers

I think your idea of bigger pots will make life easier for you when the plants hit a growth spurt. The plants look like they needed water and nutes they didn't get at some point which would be there with more earth. The canopy isn't ruler straight but lookin' good !

Best wishes on your grow.

I agree with you 100% These plants have been on the verge of death more than a couple times already. Im out of town a lot so watering daily is not an option for me. Might look into an autopot system when i have the cash. I was really curious to see how the small pots would affect my final yield. This is more for fun really. Ill be starting a new grow sometime this week. They will be going into 5 gallon pots. Its just way easier that way for me.

If you try autopots you might be trying coco as well. They work really well for watering for longer than a day. Nutes stick around longer so go gently until you find the sweet spot.

It's fun for me as well. It would be a lot cheaper to have just bought the weed I use than buying all the equipment/ seed. But I enjoy passing some weed along to other people and the challenge of growing. I've got pets to take care of too. Caretaker gene in full expression ;-).

I spent around 1k for all my grow equipment and im 4 grows in with it. Definately paid for itself a while ago in flower. I think those leds should be good for a few years at least. Definately worth it. Weeds always fire too! I do need to buy me some new seeds though. Whats popping right now yall?

Outdoor is popping and setting up most of what I grow in the year.

Hawaiian Puff/ God Bud (HPG) is about 6 ft. tall. No issues and almost no water/ nutes required this summer. Planted into the ground after starting late March. It's regular seed. I had one male out of 4 seeds this year and that strain will be an automatic to try again next year. (Dirty Dancing from Lucky13). Genetics of HPG include Hawaiian Puff which is a God Bud cross with God Bud, so there's a lot of God Bud in this one.

Hpgod5

Second up is Granddaddy Purple Ultraviolet. About 9-10 ft tall. Starting to turn purple which the next couple weeks will get even more purple.

Gdp11

Indoor this year (probably in January) I've got some ACE seeds sativas to set up. Much longer times to grow with smaller crops. The affect of the weed is different though. My indoor setup includes Autopots (used for a few years), coco, and some capable lights. Of course there is likely to be a Lucky13 in the grow some where. They are my goto for seed.

As much as growing your own pays for itself I'm really enjoying growing weed. It's sort of like having a pet with benefits ;-).

Best wishes.
