Hops say stop it too.

Go tell the Hop industry about your heat burn theories. Your lies aren't protected outside your little house of mirrors.
Be nice, we could be homies.
why you keep on poking bro. There is literally an army of people here that I have helped get to bad ass yields. Who are you? and why do you keep on being a pain in the ass bc we disagree? fact of the matter is dude there’s proof in my pudding and all you’re doing is posting someone else’s hard work, we could have a debate, like normal human beings. I don’t know why you do this shit and act like you know it all, bc this stuff you keep on saying, is only making yourself look like an asshole. you see the crap that you’re posting for new growers is going to send them into a fucking tailspin trying to figure out what’s what when all they need to do is turn down their light or raise it a little bit fact in the matter is dude is you are wrong. and you know that doesn’t mean we have to be enemies here that doesn’t mean we have to keep tagging people and talking shit either. get Over it, it’s OK to be wrong.
You know over the years, especially the last 10 or so LED light panels have gotten crazy powerful I don’t think you realize how powerful they really are and the fact of the matter is is on top of that I grow herb bro I don’t grow hops. OK you can go and talk to those people all that you want, but that has nothing to do with what I do here. If you’re just gonna keep on with this stuff, I’m just gonna keep on posting the same response to you over and over and over again. be civil because look dude I have no problem being cool with you at all but for some reason you have a bone to pick over this light shit and it’s really weird at this point man. I haven’t been tagging a bunch of crazy people post their results from my help because I’m not a dickhead and I could literally bring an army with me to flood these threads with tons of pictures showing in fact that my tips help, but I’m not that guy, nor do I believe that anybody deserves your fucking headache. I got way too much real estate in your head Bro.
So in closing I have no problem with you tagging me and showing me all the people that you actually helped get across the finish line with bad ass herb go ahead and do that. I won’t do it one friggin bit in return because I don’t have to prove shit to you, but you gotta prove some shit to me, man regardless have a good day. Love you. 👊🏻🤡
Btw, you know, your info does apply to some things. It’s just not the whole picture.
If there’s one thing that grow an herb over 25 years has taught me is that school is never out, bro. We should all strive to continue to learn and get better.

He helped me twice with this exact thing 🤣 thanks Cap you are greatly appreciated around here but I don't need to tell you that.
No worries man. It’s all gravy.

I still have it in my head that at some point in time me and this guy could be cool. I honestly don’t know what his problem is except for the fact that he thinks he’s right and that people should be drug in the mud because he’s right or something it’s just weird man and kind of immature.

@Captspaulding I just wanted to let you know that I speak fluent asshole, so feel free to asshole away! LOL

I really appreciate the assistance from knowledgeable folks here. I guarantee that myself, and many others would fail a few times and give up trying if not for the experiences being shared here. Y'all are keepin the green dream alive, man!!!

And legit, you can hit me up anytime.
I’ve been scarce for the past few days because I’ve had to go and you know pick up my folks from Florida drive them up into the panhandle so they could be safe. and you know at the same time. Try to deal with the exorbitantly nice people here. Your rig is beautifully kept. Great work all told.
In a world of naysayers and Whoopty Doo Scally wags, sometimes less is more🫣🔥🔥🔥

Damn! Good on you for getting them to safety. Hopefully their place made it through the storm ok? Sending good vibes your way!
Thanks man yeah the thing is is like I don’t know a week and a half ago two weeks ago they got nailed with gnarly storm surge from the last hurricane like a week ago or some shit so this extra one coming on top of it was kind of seriouscruel bullshit, these pics were from the morning after and the one is their backyard, which is normally beautiful But thanks for the good word smoke I really appreciate that man. Good vibes are awesome.

Oh, we are going to be great buddies. I like to cut your jib.👊🏻🤡

That is crazy man. I was watching these storms last night on the news. That is some scary shit. Every time I think of moving to FL or somewhere similar, these storms make me appreciate the cornfields and woods here in boring old Ohio. :-)

Buddy, with every passing year, I’ve been dealing with this shit forever myself because I live on the gulf. I’m in Texas right on the fucking coast and almost yearly ideal with at least one and scares from maybe three others throughout the entire season. It’s just the sheer amount of storms this year and how strong they have all been it’s a little bit Daunting and wearing on my good Will towards even being in this neck of the woods anymore. I keep on looking at my wife and saying dude we need to get the fuck out here. It’s not fun hanging out with your race car making sure your trailer doesn’t flip over like you’re gonna stop it somehow , but I’ll tell myself whatever I need to in order to will these storms out of existence.
This was hurricane beryl……. turn your volume up it was fucking crazy and I’ve been through a ton of these things busted my house up good too…..

And any and every tree that could’ve broken, bet your ass it did.

Sunday update! She is seeming to be progressing through the reveg pretty well and has really been pumping out new growth. It looks like all of the new leaves are 5 fingered again. I love going back through my previous pictures and watching the progress. To me it does not look like she is changing at all, but the pics don't lie. Even the cutting from when I topped her is blowing out new growth!

The other thing that has changed is the smell. It is getting really strong, but it does not really smell very strongly of weed.....it's almost a sticky sweet smell. To me it smells like sweet tea tastes, if that makes any sense.

Anyway, here are my pics for my Sunday, October 13th 2024 update.

Alright everyone, here is my Thursday update. Strain = DeathStar (at least that is what the person I got the clone from told me it was) In a 5 gallon fabric pot and the soil is FF Happy Frog.

I fed/watered her on Monday morning and I decided to up the nutrients a little for that feeding. I had been feeding 1/2 dose of FF nutrients + calmag, but on Monday morning I upped the dosage a little. I got a little worried because I noticed the tips of the new growth was really lightly colored, but then I noticed that when I was goofing around with my light (playing with a watt meter) and accidentally left the light at 50% for a day, when it had been at 35%. Oops! But I knew from my learnings here that since these changes were happening at the top of the plant, it was probably a light issue and then I saw it....

Of course I was worried that increasing the nutrients may have done some damage, but turning the light back down seems to have stopped it.

She was droopy and feeling really light last night, so I watered only this morning...seems she is now wanting water every three days. I used my RO water and it took about 1.25 gallons to get a about a cup of runoff in my pan. Runoff PH was 6.7 and the runoff PPM was 675. I think that means that I am good to go ahead and feed with the next watering. If so, I will go with the 3/4 of recommended on the FF chart because I am worried about not feeding her enough given the crazy branching that it is putting out. I will watch for signs of burning beginning on the lower leaves first.

The clone that I planted from when I topped the plant is doing well after going to the 1 gallon fabric pot. She got water this morning as well and it perked her right up!

I am guessing that I should let her go for another couple of weeks before flipping to flower? I am worried to let it go too much longer because it just keeps growing new branches everywhere, stacked right on top of each other.... Attempting to show a pic below. When you flip to flower, does that stop the branching? I don't want to "run out of tent" because I won't have anywhere else to put her! LOL

Anyway, thanks for following along and if anyone has any thoughts/ideas to my questions, I'm all ears!

Thank you!
Smoke

Just a quick update. On Saturday I did a pretty heavy defoliation because leaves were laying on each other and I was noticing when I would move leaves, there would be a wet spot where the leaf was.

I spent about an hour snipping leaves, trimming branches that never had a chance to see the light and just cleaning her up a bit and letting her breath a little. Well....that was before shit took a turn in my normal direction..... 🤪

My wife came into my room and was watching and seemed genuinely interested, but she was still teasing me. Anyway, I went to show her how to pluck one of the old single finger leaves, just like I see people do it in videos..... except my first pull didn't get the leaf off, so this time I decided to really impress my wife and I proceeded to pop the leaf free cleanly, but the continued downward judo chop proceeded to completely whack one of the main bottom limbs cleanly off of the trunk... I don't remember what sound I made, but it was immediately replaced with the hysterical laughter of my wife.....and when I held up the branch that I had just Chuck Norris'd off of my plant, and combined with the look of horror on my face.....my wife fucking lost it. I have not seen her laugh that hard in a long time...... I aim to please.

I did end up taking the whole branch, cut the end of it at an angle, doused it in cloning gel and popped it into one of my new "Rapid Rooters". Hopefully it takes and I will get a chance to grow that out too before I start playing with my seeds.

Anyway, with the crazy branching that the re-veg produces, I don't think that losing that branch is going to hurt me too bad. I was just worried about the plant after all of the pruning and judo choppin... I did some branch bending and she seemed to still be filled out nicely. But I will admit, she was pretty pitiful looking.

She got a water & feed on Sunday morning and she was looking great by Sunday afternoon.

I am getting anxious to flip the lighting to flower, but I have some reading and research to do to make sure that the plant and I are both ready.

Anyway, if anyone is following along as I stumble through my first grow, here is a picture of her as of this evening!

Yep, this is when I do it too. You did the right thing, you can only tuck leaves for so long. Once moisture starts building up between leaves laying ontop of eachother they have got to go.

Sunday update time!

She is now wanting a drink every three days and I would not be surprised if it goes to every two days here soon. She is a thirsty girl!

I watered on Saturday AM with just RO water. I checked my PPM on the runoff and it was at 430, so next watering she will continue on the feeding schedule with the FF trio.

Now for the pressure.... I found out this past week that I will be traveling for work for a few weeks starting in mid/late January and I will be gone for 2 weeks and maybe three. I thought it was pretty funny that the first thing that popped into my mind as far as scheduling conflicts was my plant and where she would be in the flowering process at that point.

Well, that led me to the decision to flip to flower now so that I am hopefully "done" by the time I have to hit the road in January. Today, October 27th is day one of the light change to 12/12.

She is now officially alone in what I can now call my flower tent. I did another defoliation a couple of days ago and did some light tie downs on some of the branches to open her up and expose a little more of the center to light/airflow. I have two trellis nets ready to be put into place when needed to further space her out and support the colas that I am so hopeful that she produces!

Hopefully I don't screw this up and I get to post some progress pics!

Again, a big thanks to the folks here that not only have the knowledge, but are willing to share and help those like myself who are just starting out.

And the journey continues..... Day #1. She really filled out my 39"x39" tent!

If she's an 8 week strain, she should be done by then.

The strain that I was told that I bought as a clone was "DeathStar". From what I have found online about this strain - it sounds like it originated in central Ohio (where I am) and there seems to be some drama around it, but it also seems to have most people saying that the flowering time is 10+ weeks, so that pushed my decision to go ahead and switch the light schedule.

I guess we will know if that is accurate in due time!

Thanks!
Smoke
