Hello, I’m growing a mystery strain that was a free seed from Mt Zion…..
specs are: growing in BAS with various dry organic amendments. 10 gal pot under 470w LEDs, 2 different HLG r-specs.
Today is day 70 of 12/12, although I’ve cut the daylight back to 10.5.
I did make a decision to experiment with slightly lower temps. Most of flowering has been at 76-77F, RH is in - decent window currently bouncing between 42-46%. However I’ve let the nighttime temps get way lower than usual…..60-63F…..hence all the purple shades.
I think the lower overall temps have slowed process a bit. It’s been a while since I top dressed and she’s def running out of gas.
Again, I thought I had things timed perfectly a month ago…around three weeks ago the buds looked to have about two weeks left. However, over the past 8-10 days there has been an explosion of new pistils…as well as a few nanners. I’ve picked 6-8 off…..plus it kinda looks like there’s gonna be more. I think I can see some forming within the calyces, growing alongside the pistils.
I know what nanners look like, but I’ve always spotted them once they’ve fully formed. I have no idea what a premature nanner looks like, but I think that’s what I’m seeing.
I would normally never harvest a plant with as many white pistils as this one….plus the trichs say it needs more time. Almost no ambers and still quite a few clear ones.
I think I’ll give it a week……
It’s been my experience that for whatever reasons when a plant just won’t finish up and you’ve gone well past the norm, you’ll reach a point where u start to lose terps……so I’m thinking another week and chop her.
Thoughts ??

In what looks to be a well grown and healthy plant. I bet it's just goofy genetics causing the nanners and maturity issues your seeing.

Thanks for chiming in. I’m afraid to let it go much longer than a week. It’s got good trich coverage but the buds aren’t oozing/super sticky and I don’t want them to dry out.

I've got a GG4 auto thats dragging it's roots on finishing up. It's as slow as cold molasses. Thinking it was a runt photo with lighting set for 18/6 for veg. It showed bud sites one day and it's been a slow slog ever since. I change the light timer to 20/4 to push the auto a long. As the photo GG4 has been in extended veg. I want the auto done and gone so I can transplant the GG4 photo into a 15 gal. bag, top the heck out of it and let it turn into a bush and fill the tent before I flower it.... They both broke ground 9/17/24,,,, 90 days I'm ready for the auto to be gone and out of my grow!

Genetics - check the frost is it white and not clear its done - amber trichomes will make it more sleepy if that is what you like then let it mature more - but looks great - new white pistils np not a issue - make sure your not feeding it now just plain water that is ph'd for final two weeks is what I do and that really doenst make much of a diff lol. looks healthy to me sometimes the genetics are not super stable

I grew a Le Silver Royale one time that was bunk genetics and did similar stuff to yours. It just drug on and on… it was a nightmare. It did finish around 16 weeks if I remember right but the potency was absolutely garbage.
