I would like to learn more information as it relates to a "lung room" and while I am familiar with what it means, and I have a basic understanding of it means to prepare the environment for the air to be conditioned prior to entering the tents or rooms. What I lack is the proper understanding as to the finer details of how one all works. Do you condition the air to a certain temp range, humidity.. as I assume different tents/rooms would be in flower/veg at the same time and then further condition the air once inside those tents? I'm just trying to learn more about this subject and saw your post and it indicated that you know about this topic, so I am asking you for any information or resources you might be able to share on this topic for me to learn more about it.
Yes. Whatever your lung room specs are will reflect inside your growing environment. Obviously, there are other factors like heat generation from the lights along with whatever other heat sources that will affect temp directly inside the tent but your lung room is really there to smooth out the spikes and valleys in your tent environment and give you a baseline to start with.
In my case, temp is my main control goal as humidity can be easily controlled with a humidifier. I use the T3 model from
AC Infinity and I love it. Pretty much set it and forget it other than replenishing the reservoir. I use it in my 5 x 5 and, while I wish the reservoir was larger, it works great and maintains the humidity level I set for it.
As you know, everyone's situation can be different so no one solution fits all but, at the very least, having a starting point can help in getting your space dialed in.
My tent is located inside my house in a spare room so I have to rely on the house HVAC for temp. Unfortunately my GF likes an abnormally cold house so I have to work with what the HVAC throws at me. I used to do a lot of grow room build outs so if I could do it from scratch I would setup the lung room with a mini split, independent of the houses HVAC, so that I could control temp separate from the house.
If you really want to do this right and you have the space and fundage for it, I would suggest you look into buying a grow chamber. I've built literally hundreds of these and they work very well. I build grow chambers out of sea containers which makes them portable and secure. Here's an all in one plan I made up for an old customer of mine.
