Terpy_Burpz #1 Germination Tip: Plant the pointy end of the seed down about 6-8mm below the substrate surface. This gives enough room to loose the seed case in the soil promoting clean germination and preventing risky seed cap surgeries later on. Pointy end down is also crucial to preventing the development of J-root the number one overlooked cause of small and stunted plants and poor nutrient uptake. J-root is a crippling pinching, twisting or crimping of the main taproot caused by seeds that have grown curly roots before popping up through substrate after germinating with paper or float tech methods and being left too long before planting. I take J-root very seriously and you should too if you are wanting the biggest yields possible. Stay tuned to see if she pops successfully.

Day 1 Veg: Awwww aint she cute?! Im looking forward to seeing how this goes its going to be ready in aprox 85 days and in that time i can expect her to produce up to half a kilogram of beautifully sour goodness in that time. Just in time for the holiday season! Yummy how exciting. I love popping beans of new strains...especially when they are pretty like this one!

Week 3 Veg:

This is doing so good compared to my other Choco Thai auto. Really showing that explosive growth that is required to get a decent harvest from an autoflower. Stay tuned for next week when i transplant her into a 50L fabric pot to last the rest of her life in! Lets see if i get the mix right or if i have to amend.

End of Week 3 veg mini update:
This little beast needed transplanting stat! So here are the photos of the process of transplanting her into a 50L Fabric pot.
This should give her ALL the room required to get her massive before she turns. Supposed to get up to and over a pound off this if done right.
Lol, what you reckon, am I gonna make the grade? Hehe quietly confident in this one. She is supposed to be ready in 85 days from seed to Harvest so by my calculations thats Wednesday 25th November. Meaning ive got less than a month to get her as BIG as possible before she automatically flips to flower. At which stage ill probably put her outside to flower in the spring sunshine! Autos are so weird arent they?...but definitely finding a place for them in my world.

Week 4 veg:

Just three days after transplanting, she is now 30cm across and 20cm high! I wasn't going to top her, but seeing as she is absolutely boosting, I figure it won't hold her back. In fact, it should increase the yield significantly. 3-5weeks till she starts her preflower stretch, so plenty of time for her to recover. Stick with us as we try to push her to her maximum size limits. At this rate im in with a good chance of her surpassing expectations.

Midweek week 4 veg update:

3 days later, she is touching the Scrog, so it's time to perform a little surgery to let the light in and focus growth on those laterals to increase overall yield. Hack and slash time! Ive removed the top three set of leaves. Scrogged Candelabra Sour Diesel Auto on the way!

Week 5 Veg:
Wow, did she come back good after the hack and slash treatment I gave her last week, or what? Nice long lateral growth, which should all be nicely tucked into the scrog by this time next week.Just in time for her stretch, which will start within the next 21 days, by then I hope to get her at least twice as big as this. I'm sure a few people thought I might be stunting her with the topping, and defoliating the top three sets of leaves in the same week. Those keen of eye might see ive razored the internal facing lateral on that lateral im bending out for the photo. Those are interferers remove them before they block light to the lower branches. Doing this will also encourage longer lateral growth. Stay tuned for more, and thanks for stopping by.

Have decided to put her outside today, the days are getting longer and she is about to stretch anyways so figure she wont mind being out in the wild where she can even get some roots down through the Fabric pot into the native soil for extra nutes and IMO's (indigenous micro organisms). Ill post photos in a day or so.

Final update for week 5:

She is outside and caged to prevent my blimming carefree dogs or wild possums/rabbits having a go at her. After one night she has, as i had a sneaky suspicion she would, begun stretching like a crazy thing. A good portent for a healthy harvest. Now she can even access the IMO's (indigenous microorganisms- we have some of the best in the world) from this thermal region!
