I'm thinking we need to put them on a revolving plate. Turn them daily😉
You know @PlumberSoCal2 , this has stuck in my head as something possible.
I went out back to strip more fan leaves and noticed most of the bud rot I found is on the North side of the plants. Makes sense since that side stays damp. BUT if I was to put the pot on a turn table and turn it regularly..... hmmmm. LOL

So, I took pics on the first, 15th, now the 30th of Sept. mostly to give me an idea of what might finish next year.
I have a dozen pics so I'm not reposting the first 2. They're at post: https://www.thcfarmer.com/threads/c...2025.169379/page-57?post=3347604#post-3347604
BTW, if you don't see it in the line up, it's in the burn pile or it's just too slow. Middle of October is usually the end for us.

They look awesome!

Well well. I think I found out what's been going on with my White Buffalo, this morning.

Makes sense why the branches below this have held most of its leaves throughout the past month, while the top went bare, aling with the slow yellowing of the branches. Don't know how I missed it, is what it is, now. Fusarium of some sorts.

Surprised it didn't seem to affect that particular branch, more than the others. Just a slow decline for her this month. Oh well, it'll take what I get from her.

Sorry, C. I posted in wrong thread.🤣

You're fine Hoss, love to see your grows too. And that thing on your stem, it's probably Botrytis or another bad fungus. I've been swabbing my branches with 50/50 alcohol and water after cutting out the bud rot. If you don't, you run the risk of the fungus wrapping itself around the stem and killing it.

BTW, I purchased Gazzurple without knowing what it was or how it would do here. Humboldt had generally recommended it in their short season, mold resistant varieties. Have to say, it was the most Septoria resistant plant in my garden. (except for Chocolate Girl Guide who sucumbed to Botrytis.) And it purples up beautifully.
I'm looking forward to trying it in my edibles. If I like it, I may grow more next year.

Well it sucks, cause it was going good, till it wasn't. But it's only got a week or two before she gets the chop, anyhow. Too late to fix what's been done, but put a bandaid on it for a bit longer, or chop it down.

Where's my girl?🥺

Could not wait any longer, started taking down the plants. Trics are probably too clear, not cloudy enough but fungus' are moving in, and the orange aphids are massing. (the green ones are all over the tomato plants too)

Anyways, Humboldt's Girl Scout Cookies, Hella Jelly, Gazzurple and Mango Sherbet are all down. Whew. Tired. Feet hurt.

Congrats on the bounty god knows you’ve had to do it the hard way good onya👍

I'm running out of strings to hang them on, in the garage. Asked hubby if he could put another up and he said sure.
Then he went about puttering in the garage sweeping, moving tools around, all the while bumping into the hanging branches. Ugh. Told him all the things... and he hears what he wants. LOL
Great guy, but understands nothing about growing and harvesting and drying and curing and, and, and. LOL
Mars and Venus, in this household at least. LOL

Well, he understands your cookies! You got leverage!😀🐒

4 days of harvesting the first week of October in 80 degree weather. Amazing.
Won't happen again in my lifetime. (at least in Michigan)
They've been hanging and drying and I've moved some into the spare bedrooms (2) and put fans in there. Went to the store and when I opened the door to come in it smelled soooo goood. LOL
Got the bedroom doors closed but the smell seeps out. 😁

Light rain all yesterday, a whole quarter of an inch. Geesch. Back to normal temps. 42 degrees this morning with a high in the 60s today. I'll go back later, check the plants and see if there's anything worth saving. Not throwing the towel in just yet. It's possible the cold will slow disease progression, but it also slows the plants. I'll give'em another week and see who does better.
