Flood and Drain.. how often are we changing the reservoir out?

Hi šŸ‘‹šŸ¼

Newbie ish here, looking for a bit of advice on Flood and Drain, any advice appreciated.

Just setting up an IWS Trident 9 buckets being used, 250 litre tank. 5x5 tent. How often are we changing the reservoir for fresh? I have read some saying weekly. That'll run through some nutes if I change out that often with a ruddy big tank! šŸ˜¬

I have DWC, once a week I change water to PH fer about 4-5 hrs. Then add nutrients. I think it helps the root zone to use up extra build up, an it makes my roots nice a shiny

Hey, question for you. Powder or liquid nutes? I too have a DWC and change out every two weeks. I do use a root additive to avoid root rot as well. Any pics of your ladies?

They look great! Are you feeding both tents from the same reservoir?

Thanks mate, I'm using liquid (Canna Aqua). 2 weeks sounds more viable.. is it cheaper to use powdered notes? Which root additive you using? My ladies just planted yesterday šŸ˜

I have been using the three part liquid from Cronk ( micro,veg and bloom) I like it although it tends to be a bit messy. I will be switching over to Dakine powder after my current grow is done.I also use Voodoo juice to avoid root rot.

The lady in the bottom right got dry when I was camping. Going to hash her after harvest

No res, one tent Indica one Sativa. I give them different nutrition depending on stage. I have 3-2.5gal buckets. They each go through a gallon a day. So I really don't have to change I just feed.

No root additive, I have so much O2 pumping into each bucket I there is no need

Sounds like you have that well under control.

Greenleaf Megacrop 1 Part (+supplements) is the best dry nutrients available . Very economical and very simple to use with their online calculator. I switched from General Hydroponics and will never look back šŸ’ŖšŸ™
