They goin great mate taking cuts Friday or Saturday give em a day to recover then flip em can’t wait been a while since I’ve grown a nugšŸ˜‚šŸ‘
Hell yeah! Looking forward to seeing them buds!

Can you get colloidal silver or sts down under? I was thinking about blasting a blue cheese cut with some for fem seeds.

What's the best part about marigolds?

Aside from being a pest deterrent with lots benefits to pollinators, and just a nice looking plant of course.

You only need to buy them once.

They drop seeds where there are, so even if you don't save seeds you're probably going to have a few pop up in the same spot next year.

If you want to save seeds, it's easy.

Wait till a flower turns brown and droops. Then pluck or snip a couple off.

If they still have petals on them, just pluck them out.

You're going to get a few seeds come out with that.

But there are lots more seeds in there.

Crack open the bud and you can knock the rest out.

This is 4-5 marigold flowers worth, and it's more than enough for next year.

Peppers continue to ripen even after you pick them, but I think they taste a lot better (maybe more fruity and a little hotter) if they fully ripen on the plant.

There are 2 lone stragglers left on my hong gochu. One is still completely green, but this one is almost red. Another day or 2 I think.

I was almost going to pluck it today (temps in the low 30's f this morning) but the weather man says it's not going to freeze this week so I may get lucky.

Washed this up last night, and got 2 cuts each off of the Durp and Blue Dream moving into the flower tent.

I run the cloner with the pump on 24hrs and have an air stones in the 7gal tub.

Starsan is my disinfectant of choice. Bubbles up nice and has no smell. Also, it's food safe and made from phosphoric acid. Which is used in a bunch of fertilizers...
lol that's gotta mean something.

My process is pretty hands off.

Prep them with a angled cut beneath a node scuff the stem a bit and slap it in a plug (sometimes I don't use a plug) then into the clone bucket.

I like taking big cuts because I feel it shortens the time from cut to flower, but the big woody stems do take a bit longer to root.

10 days in the box and roots like this.

I've had roots in 5 days on a smaller new shoot, but then you need to wait longer in veg before you flip them.

I've seen a lot of different ways to clone, and I'm pretty sure they ALL work. It's just a matter of waiting. Have patience is the only advice I have to give.

I wish I could get better pictures, but a moving plant and the manual focus on this scope makes it really difficult. šŸ˜… I see a lot of cool stuff before I fuck up the image capture.

So many trichomes. If you zoom all the way in, even the pistils are covered in what I think are the capitate-sessile trichomes.

I'll try again tomorrow, but there are a couple patches of the big capitate-stalked trichomes that have red stalks.

Do a video of eating that whole pepper!! C'mon
Too late! I ate it with an avocado and grilled some sausages for dinner. The avocado and a nice piece of cornbread cuts the heat and good bit lol

They say these are "medium" spice level, so i took a little bite off the end of one earlier in the season... not even the end with most of the seeds 🤣... and my mouth was numb for a while. Im not sure how they class these peppers, but something's definitely skewed
