Yes do....I was in Japan....yen rate was 100 yen per US dollar....well the rate went to 220 per US dollar decades later. So I sold the 1000 and 5000 yen notes that I had....over doubled my money.
Wish I would of bought millions of US dollars worth....wait a minute....if I had millions of US dollars why would I be buying yen....I'd be doing whatever I wanted to do. So buy the silver....who knows...your 80 dollar bill may turn into a 160 dollar bill.

The thing with gold or silver is they should be looked at as LONG TERM investments, unless you're investing millions and a quick $5 an ounce change would bring in more millions, but even then, sit on them. I started investing in silver around $5 an oz in the 80's, then went through a divorce and POOF. I still have a small stash of coins but not much. I should have quietly been buying all through the 80's and 90's and stashing them in a bank vault. Such is life but I honestly never expected silver to reach $100+ an oz.

If you've got a nice stash and want to check out sell them for $5-10 less an oz. You'd sell it quick when the market price is still going up. Once the price starts falling SIT ON THEM!😉

The old Series EE bonds were the shit! You bought them at half value, they matured in 6 years to full value sou you doubled your money in that time, and that's when it used to accrue really good interest for a full 30 years. My dad used to buy them for my brother and me every year in our birthday. Some time in the 90's they all hit their 30 year maturity and wouldn't earn another penny, so I went to try and reinvest them in some new Series EE and discovered they were discontinued. If you want a good long term investment without tax implications, buy whole life insurance. When I was a young ninja a financial guru gave me good advice. That was one of them, and the other one he imbued to me was that the best investment strategy is debt reduction. 🤔

This is amazing. 2 BBHP, 2 Mother's Milk, 2 Gelatos and 2 Cherry Wine hemp. 8 moms only taking up a 2x2' space. I still have a couple vegging plants of all except the Gelato which I've culled back, composting about a half dozen with 3 left in flower.

The plant numbers were getting out of hand and glad I'm cutting back. The vegetables are nearing their end and I've stopped fertigating the tomatoes and peppers and now only mixing about a dozen gallons of water a day and plan to work on the automated watering system this month and the tree frog habitat.

As soon as the ss check hits next week I'll be in the market for a few more 55 gallon drums😉

My Dad passed in 2020 and Mom gave me his collection of coins. Most were silver dollars, back when they were silver, and some gold coins he had earmarked for the grandkid's college funds.
He did not pay more than $500 each for the gold coins. (found a couple krugerrands too.)

Out of 3 grandkids only 1 went to 4 year college and 2 years were paid by an annuity type program. I paid the other two years with a side business so Dad was off the hook.

When he passed I inherited them and offered them to the kids, no one wanted them. Just keep it in case we need bailing out some day. The coins are theirs not mine, so I put them in a box in the bank.

$500 investment, now worth $5000 in 25 years.
I've got mutual funds that haven't gained more than 25% in that time. Geesch, silly me.

Kids don't want anything....I got rid of my old solid wood dining table, curio cabinet, and China cabinet..great shape.....offered to both of my kids....they didnt want them. Goodwill had to much furniture so they didnt want it....I pitched it in a dumpster.

Yep, hubby and I have way too much 'stuff' and rented a dumpster last year, filled it, rented another, this spring another. Daughter's hubby begged me not to give them any more stuff, turns out she's a pack rack and can't get rid of anything, especially from us. LOL

Powers out, got three generators running to keep all my plants happy. And if course a tv and Wi-Fi to keep wife and kids happy lol. It's sounds like I have a massive lawn crew party going on outside lol. My neighbors are probably jealous and annoyed 😉💪🏼👊🏼👍🏼
