My fat cats say Hi too
I am growing in grow bags. I was thinking the auto's would be ok in 5 gal bags and the fem photos in 7 gal bags. That's the plan. my wife won't let me have monster plantsSo great to see another SE Mich grower! Mighty welcome to you!
Looking forward to comparing notes on our plants and helping each other through the rough spots. (and there will be rough spots. LOL)
Wait, you read the whole thread? You are bored. LOL (we are too, waiting for the Spring)
First question and advice:
Are you planning to grow in an established garden? (veggie, flower, etc.)
If so, you may find you do not need to do much to the dirt. Except watering if we get a dry spell.
The plants LOVE being in the dirt and will grow and grow if you let them. I love monster plants. LOL
I'm learning how to keep them smaller, but these things have minds of their own.
why is he caged??Looks like our cats are cousins!
Thanks GNick. Happy belated Birthday to you too. You are a lucky man. I have always wanted to go to Amsterdam, it's on my bucket list. I was always real thankful for sacred seeds having their selection of dutch seeds. Love me some serious seeds AK-47.Happy birthday!
welcome to the farm!
i’m not very good at remembering stuff though haha,. i remember sacred seeds, the other 2 guys i’d say i don’t,. i mostly ran between sarnia london toronto,. i know/knew people who were part of that molson park grow up,. remember that?
had friends who would rent houses and fill them full of growing,. when i went to amsterdam i would buy seeds from sensi seeds and bring them back for a buddy to grow etc,.
i was a hashish, lsd, mushroom and some pills dea lor,..
i had someone teach me about and how to grow and he mentored me through one but can’t remember his name,.
when i lived in toronto i lived in south etobicoke,..
my birthday also just passed feb 4,..
why is he caged??
Hilarious you think he could even posibly be capable of being caged
Over by the fireplace we put that up to keep all the pets away for their safety... but dogs do have a pen in the bedroom with their beds in it. The cat mostly has free reign but he's an indoor feline for safety. When he wants to go outside and chase bugs he goes to the door and meows and I let him out. When he wants to come back in he comes to the door and meows. I trained him as a kitten to stay in the yard. He gets it and proof he does is times I've caught him jumping on the block fence and walking along it and he doesn't do it because he wants to wander off, he does it because he's an a-hole and just wants to push his boundaries with me for a reaction. Only real animal people will get this.![]()
Seeds.
As I stated earlier, first thing I did was buy seeds. Wow, what an experience. all i had to do was whip out my visa card and they were on their way to my house. How cool is this. Do you know what I use to go thru to get seeds back in the day? There was no mail order. can you say Mark Emery? I use to drive to Toronto from Detroit to get seeds. The guy I was telling you about, Mark from Toronto 420, he was a breeder. He sold seeds. I learned so much on how to grow from Mark, I felt like I owed him so I bought a lot of seeds from him. I also bought a lot of seeds from Pete's pipe shop in Windsor. I'm wondering if GNick55 knows a guy named Willy. He was big in the pot scene in Windsor back in the day. If you don't know Willy, you don't know Jack!!
Love Coco Loco. I mostly layer it on the top, or fill starter pots to start plants in after germination. Nice and fluffy and airy and makes it easy for new roots to start spreading and getting established before they touch the other soils. Had nothing but good luck doing it that way.Greetings from S.E. Michigan!
Well, my birthday is this month, I turn 65. If your wondering why I'm sharing this tidbit of information on a grow forum, it's because my wife loves me. You see, just after Christmas this past December, I said to my wife, honey, you don't mind if I do a little gardening this summer in the backyard, do you? And she said, no, you can have a little grow if you want, just don't go back to growing indoors. Ah, you see back in the day when I first bought the house I live in now, about 25 years ago, I grew indoors. I had a 10x15 grow room in the basement. 400MH and a 1000HPS, cabinet with T-5's for seedlings and babies. I was rocking a crop every 90 days. I grew for about 10 years and then my job took over. when your lights are on 12/12 and you go to work before the lights come on, and you don't get home until the lights are off, you really can't grow. So I traded by lights to a guy for some homegrown and I have been going to a dispensary way too much since then. So, now that my wife is gonna let me grow, whats the first thing I did, buy magic beans, of course. I'm like a kid in a candy store right now. Oh boy is this great! my wife thinks I'm crazy. I ordered seeds in January. They were delivered on 1/20/26. it was like 1 degree outside. I'm standing at the window waiting for the mailman. those magic beans weren't going in my cold ass mail box, nope, mailman's hand to mine. I'm buying dirt in January. She thinks I'm nuts. I just retired this year. I'm going crazy.
Thanks durbin92810Love Coco Loco. I mostly layer it on the top, or fill starter pots to start plants in after germination. Yeah sounds good to me. I usually mix my soil and fill the containers. Then just an inch or two cocoloco layer across the top. I tried it with autos last year which I swear they look for a reason to get mad so their growth can stunt, and all 12 I germinated ended up sprouting and growing nicely. Thanks durbin92810
yeah, I read in a couple threads that folks like to start seedlings in Coco Loco. In one thread the grower mixed the Ocean Forest FoxFarm with the Coco Loco 4 to 1. I was gonna try that. That's the plan at least.
